Planning on watching the 2014 Daytime Emmy Awards? Well you better have your computer or tablet handy. In a groundbreaking move, The 2014 Daytime Emmy Awards -- which honor the best in morning and afternoon television -- won't be airing on TV this year.

Instead, the June 22 ceremony will be live-streamed online after failing to reach a TV deal for the 41st annual ceremony. The show will be available for streaming starting at 8 p.m. (Eastern), 5 p.m. (Pacific) that evening.

On Thursday morning, May 1, 2014, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominations for the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards.

The Daytime Emmy® Awards recognize outstanding achievement in all fields of daytime television production and are presented to individuals and programs broadcast from 2:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. during the 2013 calendar year.  This year's gala will be held the prestigious Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA on Sunday, June 22, 2014.

The Daytime Creative Arts Emmy® Awards gala, which honors the crafts behind the many shows that grace the Daytime genre, will be held at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles on Friday, June 20, 2014.

The pre-nominations for the acting categories for the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards were announced today by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.  The pre-noms represent the selections by actor peer group judges and helps to narrow the field down a bit for consideration for the final nominations.

This is the first time in Daytime Emmy history that full-length soap operas, produced and distributed on the internet, were included in the nominations.
