Fans of daytime television have dodged a bullet -- literally. The Daytime Emmy broadcast from the Beverly Hilton Hotel will go on as planned and air live on HLN tonight at 8 PM ET (5 PM Pacific), despite the tradegy of an apparent murder suicide at the hotel just hours before. Last night, the stars of Daytime came out to celebrate this year’s nominees at the annual Daytime Emmy Nominee Cocktail Reception presented by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ Daytime Programming Peer Group at SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills.
Soapdom could not be more delighted. 
Soapdom has learned that The National Academy of Arts and Sciences (NATAS) has been shopping the Daytime Emmy broadcast around the major networks and the CW, all of who have passed on airing the program this year. But all is not lost.
