Nancy Lee Grahn, who plays Alexis Davis on General Hospital is nominated for an Emmy this year in the Outstandng Supporting Actress category.
However, due to a previously scheduled committment, she will not be able to be at the awards ceremony in person.
She will, however, be tweeting live. She just posted this to her Twitter peeps.
"Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the Daytime Emmys this year due to the fact that I refuse to wear Spanx in the summer. Just kidding. I wear Spanx 24/7 all year long."
Grahn continues...
"Truth is, I have an out of town commitment that I made prior to the announcement of Emmy Nominations that I must honor.
I couldn't be more appreciative to the actors and actresses that were kind enough to nominate me and I thank them sincerely.
I will still be there to support General Hospital and all my friends, but it will be on Twitter.
Please join Kaore Bonell and me June 23rd at 8 PM EST as we live tweet during the Daytime Emmys telecast on HLN. We will be slightly intoxicated as we toast the lucky winners and the ones that go home big losers. Don't miss the FUNny @nancyleegrahn #nlgemmys."
