All My Chidren fans are still stunned over the death of their favorite love-to-hate character, Dr. David Hayward, played impeccably by Vincent Irizarry. Apparently, Dr. Dave's rather
abrupt demise was news even to him. He has come out publicaly on his FB page to thank his fans. He says in a post titled Thank You to All: "I am so touched by the overwhelming support I have received over these past few days from the many fans of All My Children. Regarding my character's sudden end and any previously reported news of negotiations between me and ABC, those statements were not authorized and premature. Unfortunately, there's really not much more I can say at this time except how truly appreciative I am for all the comments on websites and message boards which have been written in support of my work and my character. There would be no doubt to me whatsoever, if I do return to AMC it will be in greater part because of this wonderful outpouring from all of you who love the show and David as much as I do. I am forever grateful to all of you..." Soapdom hope it works out for Irizarry. His character did always add some cool spice to the show and we'd love to see him return -- or turn up not dead. Hey, if he could keep Greenlee secretly alive for months and months, he probably can do the same for himself -- especially since as of today, his body was missing from the Pine Valley Hospital morgue! Stay tuned.September 2, 2010

Speaking of web series, as of this moment, only 69 hours left to help raise the funds to shoot that amazing season finale episode of the new web series, The Bay. Only $2,350 left to raise. And if you can spare a contribution of $275 you get a walk on role in the finale (but you'd have to get yourself to LA and find a place to stay on your own dime. Still, what an amazing opportunity!) If the producers don't raise the entire $15,000 they don't get any of the pledged funds. Want to truly be a part of soapdom? Go to Kickstarter now and become one of the backers!
