For the week of October 5-9, "Days of our Lives" (1.4 rating, 9 share among women 18-49, 1.0/7 among women 18-34) tied for #2 among network daytime series in both the women 18-49 and women 18-34 demographics. "Days" matched its highest women 18-49 rating in nearly 10 months (since the week of December 8-12, 2008), and matched its strongest women 18-34 rating in nearly four months (since June 8-12). Compared with the same week last year, "Days of our Lives" generated increases of 13 percent in women 18-49 viewers (946,000 vs. 838,000) and 21 percent in total viewers (3.0 million vs. 2.5 million). Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Congratulations to www.Soapdom.com. We have been named as a Finalist in the 6th Annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business in the Website of the Year category. This is Soapdom's second Finalist distinction, having also been named a Finalist in 2006.
Disney has opened it's vaults again and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: Diamond Edition is now available in a great value combo pack which includes a CD and a Blu-Ray of the movie, plus a lot of bonus features. This is great news for Soapdom's Linda Marshall-Smith, who is actually related (through marrige) to the portrayer of the character of Snow White. Her name is Adriana Caselotti and she is the voice and the visage of Snow White. Now get this -- it's kinda complicated, but here goes. Caselotti was the sister of Marshall-Smith's mother's brother's wife. She passed away several years ago but her voice and her persona will live on forever as Snow White. See the clip where Snow White gets to know the Seven Dwarfs. Check out this fun Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs website.

One Life to Live fans, keep your pants on! Apparently, some of you are jumping to a way wrong conclusion. The internet has been a buzz with a rumor about OLTL moving to a new city. Well, Soapdom can confirm that the rumor is just that -- a rumor -- and there is no truth to it. According to ABC Daytime spokesperson, Jori Petersen, "The only upcoming move ‘One Life To Live' is making is to the ‘All My Children' stage after that series relocates to Los Angeles. This will give ‘One Life To Live' more room and increase their production value." So there you have it. One Life to Live is staying put in New York City. Where do these rumors get started?Congratulations to As the World Turns. Winners of the Hollywood Health and Society Awards were announced last week and As The World Turns took first place in the category for Daytime Drama for its storyline about alcoholism. For more information and a complete list of winners, please visit www.usc.edu/hhs.
