The Studio City Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with CBS Studio Center and Children of the Night, is once again sponsoring the July 4th Extravaganza on the lot of CBS. Join Mistress of Ceremonies Kathleen Quinlan along with celebrity guests Alanna Ubach, Alec Mapa, Alejandro Patino, Amy Hill, Barbara Niven, Bill & Susan Hayes, Brook Lee, Bryan Cranston, Chris Rich, Christopher Showerman, Danny Woodburn, Dylan Cash, Gregory Itzin, James Horan, James Reynolds, John J. “This year’s Festival promises to be the best one yet,” stated Bruce Neckels, President of the Chamber and Chairman of the event for the third year. “With THE BEACH TOYS, a Beach Boys tribute band, as our headliner on the main stage, we hope the event will remind everyone of an endless summer, Southern California style.”
“The Beach Toys perform all over the country and have a huge following,” said Neckels. "This is an homage to the great Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Carl Wilson, Dennis Wilson and Al Jardine." THE BEACH TOYS have recreated the sight, sound and mannerisms of this most recognizable band. From the striped shirts and Sansabelt slacks, to the suede "Beatle Boots" and wavy hair, right down to the definitive harmonies and groundbreaking lyrics about life in California. They play the same instruments and even wear the same aftershave.
Starting things off on the main stage will be THE CODY BRYANT SHOW, who will greet guests with toe-tapping, foot-stomping Country & Western music. Featured at the entrance stage will be Alana Sweetwater and the Heavysteppers, a bluesy rock and roll band complete with tap dancers, and Makadoutious, the state champion hip hop dance squad comprised of students from North Hollywood, Grant, and Burbank high schools, and Walter Reed middle school.
“Be prepared to catch the hypnotic wave of true California music on the Fourth,” added Neckels. “And to spice up the flavor of this era, the Southern California Woodies Club will also be on hand displaying over 30 vintage Woodies.
Besides the traditional Food Court, Pendragon's Magic Show, Children's Fun Zone, live music, and grand finale fireworks display, the Festival will also a model airplane exhibit, exhibition ballroom dancing, along with other multiple exhibits and acts staged throughout the lot.
VIP Package @ $100.00 per person includes; Privileged parking, entry into the VIP Lounge, an ole-fashioned smokehouse BBQ picnic, wine-tasting, and the opportunity to dine and mingle with the stars. Join the stars at our rooftop-VIP-area viewing for the spectacular fireworks display.
