Sounds like General Hospital's Jason Thompson (Patrick) has a very "special friend" in Charmed's Alyssa Milano.  In the current issue of Us Weekly, the magazine reports that it spotted the pair walking "arm in arm" into the Warner Music afterparty on Grammy night.  None too shabby, Mr. Thompson.  (Contributed by LDB)

Buzz had just spoken to two of As The World Turns leading ladies, Helen Wagner (Nancy) and Eileen Fulton (Lisa), who are gearing up for the big celebration of the show's 50th anniversary on April 2. 'Oh you bet! There will be several surprises off the show and on. So I'm just going to say keep watching,' Wagner said. Wagner admitted that being on As The World Turns from day one is the most exciting career a gal can have. She attributes the longevity to the fans and the wonderful cast and crew, and is still in awe that she's been a part of the ensemble for 50 years. Eileen Fulton (Lisa) agrees. 'You know I'm on the show 46 years, and in the beginning, I was asked to sign a seven year contract. I was like what! Seven years? No way. I'll never be there (that long),' Fulton said. 'Who would of ever thought? It's been a wonderful ride. The fans have...

.... been great. You know...they remember my marriages better than I do.' Wagner and Fulton both said that the show has an amazing history that is a part of a fickle medium -- television. And both ended by saying 'Here's to fifty more.'  (Contributed by MEW)

BURBANK, Calif. -- February 13, 2006 -- NBC's popular daytime drama Passions welcomes The Biggest Loser couple Matt Hoover (Season 2 winner) and Suzy Preston (Season 2 finalist) as they make their acting debut Thursday, March 16 (2 p.m. ET on most NBC stations, check local listings).  Hoover and Preston, who taped their scenes on the Passions set in Studio City, California on Friday, February 3, portray a romantic couple hopelessly in love and enjoying an evening stroll through Harmony. The pair shares a loving exchange and kiss during their guest star appearance.  Hoover and Preston kindled their relationship while filming Season 2 of NBC's hit weight-loss series The Biggest Loser, which he went on to win and she placed 3rd. It was during a moment when Preston cut Hoover's hair that viewers caught a glimpse of a budding romance. Their long-distance relationship has kept them apart for only a few weeks at a time since The Biggest Loser finale in November, as they have been busy on various promotional events for the show. Hoover is now a full-time motivational speaker and Preston continues to style hair. (Contributed by LMS)

ATWT's Larry Bryggman lands another plumb Broadway role!  FESTEN, the hugely successful London play about a family with a dark secret, has been tapped for a Broadway run at the Music Box Theatre (239 W. 45th St., NYC), with performances beginning Thursday, March 23. Larry Bryggman (ATWT), Michael Hayden, Ali MacGraw and Julianna Margulies (ER) have been cast in the Broadway production. Directed by Rufus Norris, in a dramatization by David Eldridge from the Danish 1998 film, FESTEN will have its official press opening on Sunday, April 9. In FESTEN, a beloved patriarch (Larry Bryggman), surrounded by his wife (Ali MacGraw), his daughter (Julianna Margulies), his two sons (Michael Hayden as Christian; casting for the role of Michael to be announced shortly) and a host of family and friends, is celebrating his 60th birthday at his country home. This promises to be a very special occasion, but as the evening progresses, the man's eldest son, Christian, feels compelled to break the silence surrounding a family secret. Standing to propose a toast, he offers his father - much to the delight of the guests - an amusing yet simple choice. And so the games begin. Revelations and accusations tumble across the dinner table, paving the way for a celebration that no one will ever forget. Click for more info.  (Contributed by CL

Jeanne Cooper (Katherine) of the Young and the Restless called Buzz and confided that she received a call from Barbara Bloom, head of programming of CBS daytime, who informed her that her role is growing and she should be prepared for more airtime with a "power punch" of a story. Was Jeanne thrilled? "You bet. It's been a long time coming, and again, I thank the fans for their letters of support, and just there support of being there for me. And I'm so happy that they (CBS) are investing in me, as I have invested in them."  (Contributed by MEW)

Martha Byrne (Lily, ATWT), who has hosted the St. Jude's Children's Hospital Benefit each fall for the last 11 years, will be taking 2006 off. ATWT Fans get ready for your fave's show's 50th anniversary!  The powers that be have big plans in store to commemorate this milestone.  According to the folks over at PGP, "We have two special shows, one on March 31 and the other on April 3. They're stand-alone shows, one which will be a very light-hearted, hopefully irreverent send-up of our show, and the other show is '7 divas on a bus.' A bus breaks down and it will be a clip show. The show will....

Over at Days of our Lives, On Tuesday, February 7, 2006 audience members will notice a 'Go Red For Women' pin on 'Dr. Lexie Carver's' (Renee Jones) lab coat.  Dr. Carver will lecture 'Bonnie Lockhart' (Judi Evans) on important heart disease statistics and list steps women can and should take to build a healthier lifestyle and therefore, a healthier heart. Go Red For Women debuted in February 2004 with a goal to raise awareness of the risks associated with heart disease. With one in three adult women in the United States suffering from a form of cardiovascular disease, Go Red For Women recognizes the urgency of women's heart disease. As a result,Go Red is shifting its primary focus from awareness to action. Go Red For Women captures the energy, passion, and intelligence of women to work collectively to wipe out heart disease - the No. 1 killer of women. Since 2004, the American Heart Association has fostered Go Red to grow from a grassroots campaign into a vibrant national movement. Using the simple moniker "Love Your Heart," Go Red For Women aims to mobilize women, men, celebrities, healthcare providers and politicians to embrace and elevate the cause of women and heart disease. Congratuations to Y&R who won the Writer's Guild Award for Daytime. (Contributed by CL)

ATWT fans, as previously reported in Buzz, as part of ATWT's 50th Anniversary, you are about to be treated to Oakdale Confidential, the novel that everyone in Oakdale is talking about. This is the scandal they can't ignore. It's a major event in Oakdale -- a black-tie gala honoring the Marron family's fifty years of support for Oakdale's Memorial Hospital. But high spirits are cut short when patron of honor, Gregory Marron Jr., is delivered in his limo dead on arrival, from an apparent heart attack. Three women in the crowd have reasons of their own to suspect murder. . . . Event organizer Katie Peretti never understood her boyfriend Mike Kasnoff's reasons for not attending the party -- until now. Wrongly implicated in a crime against the Marrons, Mike served a stiff sentence, and has nursed a simmering rage ever since. Maddie Coleman, the teenaged sister of the limo's driver, Henry, knows that her brother owed Marron thirty-thousand dollars. She also knows he couldn't pay him back, and had only one recourse for permanently erasing the debt. Carly Snyder's suspicions are more personal. The wife of police detective Jack Snyder, Carly was one of Marron's mistresses. In a heated moment she wanted her shameful past dead and buried -- a wish her husband possibly honored.  Now Katie, Maddie, and Carly, each of them desperate to protect the man they love, are crossing paths in an investigation that's uncovering more poisonous secrets in Oakdale than they ever imagined. The means, motives, and suspects are shifting with each new twist -- and one of these determined women may not live to see the killer revealed. You can pre-order your copy of Oakdale Confidential, written by Annymous, now on Amazon.com.  (Contributed by CL)

Days of our Lives' Byran R. Dattilo (Lucas) will be sticking around Salem a little longer; the actor recently agreed to a new deal with the soap. In more signing on the dotted line Buzz, Soapdom previously reported that One Life to Live's Kamar de los Reyes was in contract talks. Well, he told us he'd be happy to stay if it could be worked out and it looks like it has.  He loves his character, Antonio Vega, so much that he signed a new contract.  (Contributed by LDB & LMS)

Arianne Zuker's last airdate as Days of our Lives' Nicole will be February 24th.  (Contributed by LDB)

In primetime Buzz, it's another divorce for Heather Locklear (Amanda, Melrose Place).  She and rocker-hubby Richie Sambora - lead guitarist for Jon Bon Jovi - have called it quits after 11 years of marriage.  The duo has one child:  Ava Elizabeth.  Locklear was previously married to another bad boy of rock, Motley Crue's Tommy Lee.  She and Lee split in 1991.  (Contributed by LDB)

ATWT fans, coming soon to a bookstore near you is a new "novel" called Oakdale Confidential by Annonymous! Hardcover list price is $19.95, but Amazon.com has it for $13.95 and is eligible for Super Saver free shipping. The book is not yet in stock, but you can pre-order your copy now. (Contributed by CL)

In more ATWT Buzz, Martha Byrne (Lily) appeared at the grand opening of Destination Maternity, a new store on Madison Avenue in NYC.  Hostess of the event was Mira Sorvino, who is due in June, as is Byrne. According to Campbell Robertson of the New York Times who covered the event, there was quite the crowd, but standing clear of the maddening masses was Byrne, posing for photographers as she feigned selecting just the perfect merchandise.  So how are the writers of ATWT accommodating her pregnancy?  "...the writers get really inspired when we get pregnant," she said.  "For my last pregnancy, I played twins. One twin was pregnant and the other twin just fell off the wagon in the eating department. In every scene, they had her shoving something into her mouth."  Buzz has been hearing rumors that this time, the pregnancy will likewise be written into the story, but as flashbacks to Rose, Lily's dearly departed twin sister, and how Rose got pregnant. We'll have to stay tuned to see how it all plays out.  (Contributed by CL & LMS)

Quite the far cry from how General Hospital has allegedly handled pregnancies of late.  Which reminds us, Soapdom hears that Robin Christopher (Skye, GH) is pregnant.  In the wake of Kari Wuhrer's (ex Reese) lawsuit, you can bet that Christopher's pregnancy will be somehow dealt with on the show, either written into the storyline or "covered up" with oversized clothing, carrying the briefcase or tote bag in front of an expanding mid-section, and a lot of sitting on sofas clutching throw pillows. (Contributed by LMS)

Buzz hears that after months of speculation on the fate of Kristoff St. John (Neil) of Young and Restless, the actor has signed on for three more years. You go guy! (Contributed by MEW)

According to TV Guide Online's Daniel Coleridge, in other Genoa City news, vet Jerry Douglas (John) has been let go due to a twist in storyline. It's not the first time the Abbott patriarch has been handed walking papers.  Last time, he put his extra time to good use teaching an acting class called "How to break into soaps."  He soon returned to Genoa City, but will he be back again this time?  Here's what we do know.  John Abbott will be prosecuted for killing Tom.  Watch for sparks to fly at the trial later this month.   (Contributed by MEW & LMS)

TV Guide Online and Chicago radio station WUSN announced that DOOL's Brody Hutzler (Patrick) is going prime time.  Hutzler will appear in the March 10th episode of Las Vegas. (Contributed by MEW)

Lesli Kay (Felicia) of the Bold and the Beautiful has been let go.  According to Daniel R. Coleridge at TV Guide Online, B&B's Brad Bell has admitted to feeling tempted to keep Lesli Kay around, but in order to be true to this storyline, the show will kill off the dying Felicia Forrester as planned.  "Isn't she marvelous?" Susan Flannery (Stephanie) told TVGuide.com. "I'm sad to lose her, too, but it's such a powerful story." Apparently, the Buzz is that Felicia's dying will give rise to a new storyline that will involve her son, Dominick, and Dante (Antonio Sabato Jr.) who will begin asking, "Who's your REAL daddy?" As for Lesli Kay, everyone keeps asking will she return to As The World Turns as Molly? Lets just say that her world keeps turning... (Contributed by MEW, CL & LMS)

Linda Dano Guest Stars on "What I Like About You"
The WB - Friday, February 17, 2006 - 8PM

The WB has moved up the airdate of the episode that features Emmy winner Linda Dano as Dan Cortese's mother, "Eileen Meladeo."  The upscale character she plays in the episode titled "The Other Women' features Dano as new mother-in-law to Jennie Garth's character "Val."  Coming off her recent guest appearance as George, the pharmacist's mother, on ABC's Desperate Housewives, on What I Like About You Dano plays an Anne Bancroft-type character that isn't too pleased that her son has suddenly married a woman she's never met.  "On Desperate Housewives, I play a mother that is thrilled that her son even likes....

{mospagebreak}

....women, on this one I play a mother who would prefer that her son's new wife would disappear," says Dano.  "For me this experience was even richer because Dan also directed the episode."  Dano fans from her many years as "Felicia Gallant" on NBC's Another World will have another reason to love this episode of What I Like About You...both "Eileen" and "Felicia" are hiding a secret that explains a lot about their behavior.   February 13, 14, 15 Dano can be seen guest hosting SOAPnet's SOAPTalk while Lisa Rinna continues on the ABC Primetime Hit Show, "Dancing With The Stars."  (Contributed by LMS)

When Soapdom met up with Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth, GH) recently, we had to ask how things were going on the set of General Hospital in the wake of Kari Wurher's (ex Reese) law suit.  Herbst explained that the actors heard about the law suit when someone posted the complaint on a bulletin board at the studio.  She said people looked at it and went back to work.  From her comments and demeanor, it didn't sound like the rest of the cast was all that concerned.  It's almost as though they sort of fluffed it off and continued with their own work on the show. More on this coming soon. (Contributed by LMS)

February 1, 2006

Christie Clark (Carrie, DOOL) tells Buzz that on the last day of work for Arianne Zucker (Nicole), who has left the show, some of the cast including Alison Sweeney (Sami), Bryan Dattilo (Lucas) and Rhasaan Orange (Tek) took her out for a night on the town in Hollywood for steak and wine, and guess what? "Well...let's just say we had too, too much wine. Oh yea, we were in trouble. But you know...we had a ball," Clark joked. It is not yet known if the role of Nicole will be recast. (Contributed by MEW)

In more DOOL Buzz, the dearly departed character of Jack (Matthew Ashford) is gone but not forgotten. First of all, Ashford is still under contract with the soap.  Additionally, Soapdom found out that Jack will "appear" to Jennifer in the not too distant future.  "Think of me as talking to you inside your head," Ashford told Melissa Reeves (Jennifer) when they taped the scene. Cos it's not clear just what Jack's doing there with her -- being that he died and all.  Meantime, Ashford did double duty as the SOAPnet Behind the Scenes reporter for Soap Star week on Wheel of Fortune, airing at the end of February.  Stay tune to Soapdom for more on Wheel's Soap Star week! (Contributed by LMS)

While over in Port Charles, the character of Durant will be missing from the canvas for a while.  According to his portrayer, Corbin Bernsen, he's not been in for any taping in weeks and there's nothing coming up on the horizon for Durant. In fact, he only got to work with NuNu Carly, Laura Wright, briefly one day and as any GH fan knows, Carly is Durant's daughter.  As Bernsen is not on contract, he recurs only when needed for story. Would he consider accepting a contract?  Stay tuned to Soapdom for our mini interview with Bernsen coming soon. (Contributed by LMS)

In some east coast Buzz, Kamar de los Reyes (Antonio) is on vacation from OLTL and is sporting his vacation look!  He's got facial hair and let me tell you, a beard looks super on de los Reyes.  He is currently in contract talks with OLTL and would love to stay, but nothing is set in stone as of this moment.  Let's hope TPTB offer him a good deal. (Contributed by LMS)

And on Y&R, just why is Jack so against Phyllis and Nikki's wellness spa idea? According to Peter Bergman (Jack, Y&R) the idea was developed at Jabot and Jack doesn't want some other company running with a Jabot-created project.  So why isn't Jabot pursuing it?  We'll have the answer in our mini interview with Peter Bergman coming soon. (Contributed by LMS)
