Guess who is coming to Lauralee Bell's Family Dinner? Lauralee Bell (ex Christine, Young and the Restless) is debuting episode three of her web series, Family Dinner, on Monday, September 21 exclusively on www.funnyordie.com. Bell and Scott Martin are the Executive Producers, and Bell directs again. She nabbed Emmy-nominated "Robot Chicken" writer Mike Fasolo to write her concept. Ann Clements and Chris Panizzon produce. Cloris Leachman plays Karen's (Bell's character) mom, Gladys. The rest of the O'Connell clan are back as their dysfunctional characters with Dan Cortese as the beleaguered producer just hoping the family will stop hitting on him. For more info, visit FamilyDinnerOnline.com
Speaking of funny videos, this one is really fun. Young and the Restless' Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe) formerly starred on All My Children as not one, but two, characters (Maggie and Frankie). During her AMC stint, Hendrickson got to work with and know the wonderful Ms. Susan Lucci, the queen diva of all daytime. Cut to this year's Daytime Emmy awards where Hendrickson is tapped to be a presenter. Problem was, she could not find the perfect dress. She gets a brainstorm and decides to impersonate Susan Lucci to get a dress to wear. Check out this fun video of Elizabeth Hendrickson as Susan Lucci!

Congratulations to The Bold and the Beautiful's own Heather Tom (Katie) who placed first in the FEMALE INDIVIDUAL CELEBRITY category of the Malibu Triathlon. Tom scored the gold medal with a time of 1:48:57, topping the second place female by almost a minute and a half! Held on Saturday and Sunday, September 12 and 13, The Malibu Triathlon consisted of a ½ mile swim, 18-mile bike race and a 4-mile run, and raised over $1 million for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Way to go Heather!
Today is a sad day, indeed. Guiding Light has aired it's last episode. On this morning's Early Show, Ron Raines (Alan) and Tina Sloan (Lillian) were interviewed.
Congratulations to the Young and the Restless' Thom Bierdz (Phillip). On September 12th at a black tie gala of over 850 people, Bierdz received the 2009 Visibility Award from The Human Rights Campaign. The HRC is in part responsible for helping elect 13 women to both the Senate and House of Reps, to realize a nation that achieves fundamental fairness and equality for all. Senators Amy Klobuchar and Scott Dibble were also recognized that evening and gave moving talks. During his acceptance speech Bierdz said he shares this honor with Y&R head writer Maria Arena Bell and producer Josh O'Connell for their courage to write Phillip Chancellor III as a multi dimensional gay man cultivating important relationships within his family, telling important new storylines that have not been seen before. “I am so excited to be so respected by a group that cares so much for equality,” Bierdz shared with Soapdom. “This means more to me than any award I have gotten.”

Soapdom congratulates Young and the Restless' Michelle Stafford (Phyllis), who is expecting a baby in December. You may be wondering how she's expecting without showing any signs of a baby bump. That's because she is using a surrogate. Stafford, who will be a single mother, revealed to Mark Dagostino of People Magazine on September 8, that has decided to rely on a surrogate after struggling with fertility treatments and surgeries. "After a three-year journey through hell, I'm elated, ecstatic and feel ultimately lucky to be able to announce that I'm expecting my own child via surrogate in December." So, is the baby a boy or a girl? Find out more.

Soapdom congratulates The Bold and the Beautiful's Aaron D. Spears (Justin) and his wife Estella. They are the proud parents of a healthy baby boy. Their son, who will be named shortly, was born yesterday, Wednesday, September 9, 2009. This is Aaron and Estella’s fifth child and first boy. Aaron’s role as Justin on the Bold and the Beautiful will certainly cause some havoc in the land of the fashionistas, especially once his past is revealed. His first air-date as Justin is Friday, September 17, 2009. Be sure to tune in! Find out more.

As the World Turns fans, although we cannot spill all the beans there is big news afoot for the denizens of Oakdale. Watch for a number of (not one, not two, not three -- but four, yes four!) fan favorite characters to return to town. With old home week hitting this November, Soapdom can't help but wonder if Katie will in any way be affected. Stay tuned to Soapdom as we dig up more on this breaking story.

Soapdom couldn't be more delighted for the Bold and the Beautiufl's Drew Tyler Bell (Thomas) who married his fiancée Sarah Grunau (now Bell) in a private garden ceremony in Los Angeles on August 2, 2009. We got to meet the lovely new Mrs. Bell at Daytime Emmy ceremonies and the Bold and the Beautiful fan lunch on August 29th. Bell done good! Soapdom sends out our congratulations to both of you.

All My Children's Chrishell Strause (Amanda) wants to tweet with you! Strause loves Twitter and she's looking for some tweeting buddies. "My Twitter handle is Chrishell7," Strause told Soapdom and asked that we share it with you. "Can you believe I couldn't get my real name without the number seven?" Guess there are that many Chrishell's out there, and I always thought Chrishell was a less common name.
Speaking of Twitter, Days of our Lives Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe) is also on the social network. She is sending an open invite to Days fans via Soapdom to come tweet with her. You'll find her at realnadiab. She could not get her real name, because an imposter is already using it. If you're tweeting with someone named nadiabjorlin claiming to be the real nadia b, they are not.
Bjorlin told Soapdom that she is in the process of "getting my real name back," to use on Twitter, but it is taking some time. Just a note to the wise. When dealing with "celebs" on social networks, make sure it is really them. Right now, if you want to tweet with Bjorlin, follow realnadiab.
Do you live in or around Pittsburgh? Are you a fan of As the World Turns? Have you ever wanted to star on a soap opera? If you answered "yes" to all three of those questions that you are in luck. You can get the chance to audition for a role on As the World Turns. Here's the whole scoop. Contributed by CL

Lee Philip Bell, co- creator of Young and the Restless and Bold and Beautiful (along with husband, the late William Bell), tells Buzz that winning the Emmy for Bold and Beautiful for Outstanding Daytime Drama was overwhelming. “Isn’t this wonderfu? It was a great feeling as always when you win,” Bell said. “The show is doing great, and we have the wonderful viewers to thank.” As for Jeanne Cooper (Katherine, Young and the Restless), losing is bitter sweet. Cooper was up for Outstanding Lead Actress but lost to winner Susan Haskell, Marty, One Life to Live. Cooper, who did take away the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in 2008, said there is always next year. “That’s right. It’s an award show. The way everything is going these days, I’m just grateful the Emmy’s is still alive and on the air,” Cooper said. “Would I like the show to be better? Yes! I miss the class it had. Too much like a variety show and way to many Sesame Street puppets. But the show is put together as package to sell, and like always it’s about the money.” Contributed by Mark Edward Wilows

The Bold and the Beautiful's Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke) has the most infectious laugh. Actually, it's more of a giggle, and she tends to giggle quite a lot if she occassionally flubs a line while taping scenes from the soap. At the B&B fan luncheon, producers pulled together a bloopers reel. It was great to see Lang's giggles in action. "I can't help myself," Lang told Soadpom. "I just start to laugh when I mess up a line and then, sometimes I can't stop." She contined by saying that she can get the giggles so bad that it takes a few minutes to get back into character. "You have to lighten things up a little on the set," she countered. "Sometimes the stuff we do is so serious, that a little giggling helps us stay focused." Enjoy Lang's giggles at the end of this official B&B Blooper reel...
SOAPNet "I Wanna Be a Soap Star" fans we have bad news. We ran into soap star talent manager and "I Wanna Be a Soap Star" judge, Michael Bruno, who told gave us the scoop. The show is not going to be renewed for a fifth season. Boo hoo.

The Bold and the Beautiful had a set-side celebration today to commemorate their first ever Daytime Emmy win as Outstanding Drama Series. More on that soon! After leaving the festivities at CBS Television City, I happened to run into Young and the Restless Thad Luckinbill (JT) who had just come from working out. Two things I would like you to note, here. Number 1: How gorgeous he is, and he just left the gym! I am talking no shower, just worked out and was heading home. And what a sweetie to pose for pictures virtually au natural. Number 2: The overcast-looking sky in the background is not because it's about to rain in otherwise sunny, southern California. It's not evening or early moring. It was just about noon time. The grey sky is due to the smoke from the wildfires over the hill in the valleys some miles away. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all who are suffering directly because of the wildfires. Let's all hope the temps cool down and the fires are contained before more life and property is lost.
Marcy Rylan (ex Lizzie, Guiding Light) is six weeks away from having her first baby! She is sooo excited and couldn't look more radiant. Along with being very preggers, she and her other half moved to Los Angeles two days before the Daytime Emmy awards. Talk about hustle and bustle!
In the meantime, her Guiding Light co-star, Daytime Emmy Winner, Jeff Branson (ex Shayne), who has also relocated to LA, confessed that when Guiding Light first switched to its most recent hand-held, on location format, it was jarring for him. He fessed up that not having the controlled studio environment took some getting used to.
Former husband and wife, Michael E. Knight (Tad, All My Children) and Catherine Hickland (Lindsay, One Life to Live) may have been divorced from their marriage vows, but they are still the very best of buds. In fact, instead of hitting the 36th Annual Daytime Emmy awards in Los Angeles this past weekend, they choose to meet up in Shytown. Why would the daytime duo forgo a soap industry event for time together in Chicago? To share one of their other passions, of course. They got to see country music star and American Idol winner Carrie Underwood in concert. Not only that, they got to meet her before the show! So, on Sunday, August 30, while all of daytime was sweating with the oldies on the Red Carpet in LA, Knight and Hickland were digging on some cool country sounds in Chicago. Go figure.
Soapdom sends tons of congratulations out to Daytime Emmy Nominee Bradford Anderson (Spinelli, General Hospital). He told us on the Red Carpet at the Daytime Emmy Awards that he's engaged. Meet his lovely fiancé...
Daytime Emmy winner, Julie Marie Berman (Lulu, General Hospital) came flat out and said what we've known for a while. "Lulu is a bulldozer and she is unlucky in love." She also revealed that she doesn't mind making out with all the good looking men she gets to kiss on the soap. You go girl! Ah yes. To be in her shoes, right?
Speaking of General Hospital, six-time Daytime Emmy winner and nominated again this year, Tony Geary (Luke), flew in from Amsterdam just for the awards show broadcast. He even paid for his transportation himself just to be part of the festivities. He's been enjoying his time at his home base - Amsterdam - and was admittedly kind of out of it soapwise. He knows he's returning to General Hospital in mid September to start airing again September 30, but he had no clue as to what was going on story wise, or what Luke would be up to upon his return. "I just found out that All My Children is moving to Los Angeles," Geary told Soapdom. "Like yesterday!"
Nick Stabile, who did a dynamic job playing Officer Dean Hartman, the officer involved in the kidnapping plot of Ciera (Lauren Boles) on Days of our Lives, tells buzz that he really enjoyed his stay in Salem. "Everyone was great! Kristian (Alfonso, Hope) and Peter (Reckell, Bo) were fantastic," Stabile said. "Kristian would spend time running our lines, and everyone was such a joy to work with.. Also Producer Gary Tomlin really worked us, but he is one of the most creative people I know." Stabile hinted that although this is his last week, it is guaranteed to be some explosive scenes that are really worth watching. Will he get his due? Stay tuned! Contributed by Mark Edward Wilows
Victoria Rowell (ex Drucilla, Young and the Restless) stopped by to say hello to Soapdom on the Red Carpet at the Daytime Emmys. She looked gorgeous as ever. "I'm here tonight to support my dear friend, Debbi Morgan (Angie, All My Children)," Rowell shared. Morgan was nominated in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. "I really think she's going to win," boasted Rowell. Unfortunately, Rowell's prediction did not come to pass. Morgan lost to Susan Haskell (Marty, One Life to Life).
In more All My Children news, when the show does relocate to Los Angles, they will be taping in the same stages where GH Night Shift Season 2 was filmed, Andritas Studios in Glendale, CA. Meantime, while the show is still taping in NYC, in order to keep sets standing for two long weeks, TV Guide is reporting that AMC is producing a ten-day story arc on a Dance Contest. But it's not like a Dancing with the Stars competition. Oh no. It's a marathon. Characters can't stop dancing for two weeks! Well, they will get the occasional pee and/or munchie break, but for the most part, picture World War II movies where soldiers and dance hall girls cling to each other for dear life to win a mega marathon dance-a-thon. From what it sounds like, that's what in store for the denizens of PV. More specifically, the storyline is a riff on the Jane Fonda film, "They Shoot Horses, Don't They." Tad will play the MC, a role Gig Young won an Oscar for in They Shoot Horses. "We've got characters making time for a five-minute quickie, there are fights in the ladies room, a little stalking, a possible murder. It's fun!" exec producer Julie Hanan Carruthers tells Michael Logan of TV Guide. Watch for things to also get a little goofy. "I promise you a chicken dance with full cast participation," Carruthers says. "You haven't lived until you've seen Thorsten Kaye [Zach] doing the finger snap."
