Emily Harrison Lands Plum Role
When Jennifer Finnegan, the two time Daytime Emmy winner for her role as Bridget Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful, announced her departure from the show during a recent appearance on SoapTalk, B&B began to scramble for a replacement. On Thursday, December 11, 2003, B&B announced that Emily Harrison has been cast in the role of Bridget Forrester.
Fresh faced and adorable Harrison hails from Louisiana, Missouri, the epitome of small town. She displayed a talent and love for performing very early on. When she first took to the stage at age four as a ballerina, she couldn’t forget the thrill.
Harrison attended the University of Missouri, but decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of acting. Since arriving, she has appeared in feature films Dickie Roberts Former Child Star, Food for Thought, and Puppet Master III among others. Her televison credits include 7th Heaven, American Dreams and The O’Keefes.
Recently, Harrison completed work on the award winning short film, Ocha Cups for Christmas. To prepare for the role, Harrison spent months learning the Japanese language and aspects of the culture, as well as gaining 15 pounds in order to portray the struggles of a young girl uncomfortable in her body. Sounds like Harrison is truly dedicated to her craft.
Anxious to see the new Bridget? You’ll have to wait till next year. Harrison’s first airdate is January 26, 2003.
