Welcome to the Soapdom Cybby Awards, where fans get to nominate their favorites in the Fun Categories, and then vote on the Fun Categories and Daytime Emmy categories as if they were members of the Emmy Committee.
For the 5th Annual Soapdom Cybby Awards there were some close calls. In some categories a winner won by one percentage point or less. In several instances, a nominee was leading right to the very end, and then, out of nowhere, another nominee took front and center, pulling ahead to win the category. One winner has won all five years in the same category. He is the only star with that distinction in the history of the Soapdom Cybby Awards. Can you determine who it is? Categories in the Soapdom Cybby Awards are based on the categories and nominees of the Daytime Emmy Awards. In addition to the Emmy Categories, the Soapdom Cybby Awards also feature "Fun Categories" such as Outstanding Performance From a Hosptial Bed, Most Devious Doctor, and Tears for Careers, where fans get to first nominate, then vote for, their favorites. Voting for the 5th Annual Soapdom Cybby Awards ran from April 12, 2004 through May 31, 2004. Soapdom Registered and Subscribed Members were eligible to vote. For the 5th Annual Soapdom Cybby Awards, only actors who appeared on the soap in 2003 were eligible for Fun Category nominations. They did not have to be currently appearing, but must have appeared between January 1, 2003 and December 31, 2003. Interestningly, we did get some nominations that we could not accept based on this rule. Linda Grey (Priscilla, B&B) was nominated in a number Fun Categories, but as she only began airing in 2004 she was not eligible for the 5th Annual Cybby Awards. Do keep her in mind for next time! Voting for the 5th Annual Soapdom Cybby Awards ran from April 12, 2004 through May 31, 2004. Soapdom Registered and Subscribed Members were eligible to vote.
