OLTL actors lend their voices as hope for hurricane victims. When hurricanes Katrina and Rita slammed into the US Gulf coast in August and September of 2005, homes were ruined and lives shattered. Like so many people around the world, ABC Daytime star Robin Strasser (Dorian, OLTL) saw the images of devastation on her television screen and was moved to help. With the guidance of One Life To Live's Emmy-winning Music Director Paul Glass, Strasser rallied her fellow actors to do what they do best: perform. The One Life To Live cast is one of the most versatile and talented groups in daytime. When not busy on the soap set, their outside projects run the gamut from the Broadway musical stage to cabaret acts; from film roles to recording CD's; from primetime television to Shakespeare. The actors put their unique talents to work, and the result is a CD called One Life, Many Voices. It is a collection of song and spoken word, and 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the CD will go to hurricane relief efforts. The CD will be available for pre-order at midnight, November 23, 2005. For ordering information and to hear clips from the CD go to: www.onelifemanyvoices.com (Contributed by KC)

Soapdom caught up with Eden Riegel (Bianca, AMC) last night at the reading of Agnes of God in Pasadena, CA. When asked about her return to All My Children for a few weeks in late December, early January, her face lit up like a Christmas Tree. She talked about returning to "my family." She misses the people terribly and tunes in every couple of weeks just to see what's going on with the show. And she had only the kindest things to say about some of the new people, especially Kelli Giddish, the actress who plays Di. Stay tuned for more with Eden Riegel coming soon. (Contributed by MG)
For the past few weeks, there have been rumors regarding the fates of two of ABC Daytime's long-loved actors. According to Roger Friedman of Fox News Online, "ABC Daytime continues to astound. Now, two admired award winners are being toyed with by management ' Julia Barr on 'All My Children' and Hilary Bailey Smith on 'One Life to Live.' ABC Daytime Reel Moms In conjunction with Loews Cineplex Entertainment Reel Moms program, a weekly film screening that offers mothers a chance to see first-run movies and bring their babies with them - without the fear of disturbing fellow moviegoers -- ABC Daytime is sponsoring the Reel Moms program at Select Loews and Cineplex Entertainment movie theaters across the country this fall. ABC Daytime Brand Ambassadors are onsite from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. distributing information about the ABC Daytime lineup, and ABC branded premiums serve as trivia contest prizes. ABC Daytime Campus Invasion ABC daytiime could be coming to your college campus. ABC is enlisting campus organizations at 15 colleges/universities across the country to compete over the course of three days, encouraging college kids "to get hooked and win" on "All My Children." At the end of the competition, 180 viewing parties will have taken place during the airing of "All My Children," and one half-hour before and after the show. Students will be judged on the three A's -- attendance, appearance and attitude. The group that throws the best party over the course of the three-day competition will win a semi-finalist prize valued at approximately $300, and will be in the running for the grand prize competition. The final, grand prize winner will receive a party thrown by ABC Daytime, with appearances by ABC soap stars, and the party will also be taped for national air and will run as interstitial spots during the ABC Daytime drama lineup. Additionally, the first 30 attendees at each party receive an ABC Daytime branded premium, and attendees who correctly answer trivia questions will each receive one of 10 specially branded items. The campus competitions will take place in the Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, New York and San Francisco markets during the weeks of Nov. 28-Nov. 30 or Dec. 5-7, and will be promoted on campus through posters, flyers and college newspaper ads. According to Soap Opera Digest and the actress herself, the firing of Kari Wuhrer (ex-Reese, General Hospital) is becoming more controversial than anyone anticipated. The actress, who joined the show earlier this year, claims she was shocked to learn of her exit from executives in September after having had her option picked up on July 17th. In the latest issue of the publication, Wuhrer is quoted as saying: "'Why didn't you tell me a month ago that something was wrong?' I had no indication at all. By all accounts, everything was going great. And to be told I'm not sexy is a baffling statement, considering I've built my career on it for 20 years." She remains mum on any details of a lawsuit when pressed by Digest. But what Wuhrer does say indicates that she is indeed taking some kind of action against the ABC sudser. "I'm giving them an opportunity to do the right thing. At this point, I have an obligation not only to myself, but to the women on that show. It sucks going through this emotionally and being pregnant and at the same time. It's not like I can go out there and get another job, so not only did it kill a little bit of my spirit, but took away my livelihood." A spokesperson for GH refutes the charges, claiming, "We are not aware of any lawsuit." Here's the thing. If Wuhrer does take GH to task for wrongful termination, it could place a black cloud on the rest of her career. Other shows or films may think twice about hiring her if they see she has a record of suing her former employers. It's unfortunate, but it's Hollywood. Although, when Hunter Tylo (Taylor, B&B) sued and won against Aaron Spelling because she wasn't "sexy enough" after landing a role on Melrose Place and then getting preggers and ultimately fired, it hasn't hurt her career. Or did it? Time will tell. (Contributed by LDB with LMS)
Tyler Christopher (Nikolas, GH) is recovering from surgery after suffering a broken arm on November 8. According to his official website, www.tylerchristopher.com, the actor was released from the hospital on November 10 and is expected to make a full recovery. His website also states that his role will be recast for several days (4 or 5 subject to change), until he is back on his feet. Word is that Chris Beetam (ex Jordan, ATWT) will be stepping in, although that could also be subject to change. Soapdom wishes Christopher a speedy recovery. (Contributed by LMS)
In more Tyler Christopher buzz, it also seems that the actor is fighting back -- against his own fans! On a recent online post on his official website, www.tylerchristopher.com, Christopher attacked those gossip mongers who charged that he and costar Alicia Leigh Willis (soon-to-be ex-Courtney) were a couple. "Alicia and I are not together. I repeat -- not a couple. What you see on screen is called good acting," Christopher wrote. "And just FYI. If you were to ask Natalia (Livingston, Emily ... and Christopher's former reel and real-life flame) what she thinks she would tell you how foolish all of this bull---- really is. As far as the certain 'fans' who are now trashing my name goes -- thanks but no thanks for your trust and loyalty." Somebody has gotten his knickers in a twist! In a way, Christopher and Leigh-Willis being a real life couple is not that far a stretch. After all, he has a history of hooking up with his co-stars. Most recently, Natalia Livingston (Emily). Before that, he was married to Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives), who stood in for Vanessa Marcil (ex Brenda), and prior to Longoria, Christopher was engaged to Marcil herself. Definitely a pattern here, no? (Contributed by LDB & LMS)
Rebecca Budig (soon-to-be ex Greenlee, AMC) has completed taping her final episodes. The Emmy nominee has been a member of the AMC family for six years. Her final airdate is scheduled for November 30. (Contributed by LDB)

Rick Hearst (Rick, General Hospital) has decided to stick around Port Charles for a bit longer. As he tells Digest: "I've signed on for three more years here. I want to see this character continue to evolve. I love this show and I have high hopes for what's ahead for this character." (Contributed by LDB)
Addison and Alex Hoover (Phoebe and Steffy, The Bold and Beautiful) have been demoted to recurring status. (Contributed by LDB)
