From Daytime to Features and Made for TV Movies, Mark Consuelos is on an Acting Roll
Since leaving All My Children in 2002, Mark Consuelos (ex-Mateo, AMC) has been busy cranking out the movies. Fresh from wrapping up production of The Legend of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, along with another daytime player -- Blake Gibbons (Coleman, GH), and The Great Raid, which hails an all-star cast that includes Benjamin Bratt, Joseph Fiennes and James Franco, Consuelos shows no sign slowing down.
On Oct. 19, you can catch Mark in ABC Family Channel's Beautiful Girl.The movie follows the journey of Becca Wasserman, played by Marissa Jaret Winokur of Broadway's Hairspray fame, to prove that true beauty comes from within. Becca is not stick thin but she has a great job teaching, a gorgeous fiancé Adam (Consuelos), a wonderful family and lots of chutzpah! When Becca announces that she wants to enter the local Miss Squirrel Hill beauty pageant to win a honeymoon trip for her and Adam, her mother Amanda, played by The Nanny's Fran Drescher, tries to discourage her. Undeterred, Becca plunges forward -- facing all her inner demons and society's preconceptions of beauty in the process.
ABC Family Channel debuts Beautiful Girl on Oct. 19 at 8PM.
