Hi Suds Buds:
We are now living in very trying times. Soapdom sends prayers and thoughts of support to our service men and women overseas. If you have sentiments you’d like to share about Operation Iraqi Freedom, messages of support to send you your loved ones who may have been deployed to the Middle East, etc. please use the special message board set up in the Hot Topics Forum on the www.Soapdom.com message boards. Click here.
As you know, last week the major networks pre-empted the daytime lineup to present breaking coverage of the war. SOAPNet also modified their daily lineup. One show spokesperson told Soapdom that regular programming will resume on a day-to-day basis. It seems to us, that it will resume more on a moment-by-moment basis.
For this reason, we are suspending our feature “Sneakier Peeks” for this week. We, and even the daytime execs, may not know what shows will be airing when, so it is kind of pointless to promote this week what may not happen for several weeks. We hope to have a better notion of things to come by Thursday, when our usual and more elaborate Sneak Peeks are published.
With the war dominating our programming, many of you may feel the need for an escape into the world of love in the afternoon that has been missing for the past few days. Why not search www.Soapdom.com’s daily episode guide recaps to relive some of the more crucial moments of your favorite soaps over the past few years?
Soapdom began covering daily episodes for the following soaps on the following days:

Now on to more light-hearted subjects. Did you all see the Academy Awards on Sunday, March 23, 2003? Believe it or not, I actually missed most of the show, but did get to see the “main awards” of best actor, actress, screenplay, adaptation, and best picture. From what I saw of the broadcast, Steve Martin did a fine job of hosting entertainment’s biggest night during wartime, and I am also in support of ABC for airing the show, as even more so in trying times, we need to be uplifted.
