Celebrate Valentine's Day with Three of Daytime's Leading Heartbreakers

Daytime Superstars Deidre Hall, Drake  Hogestyn,  and  Thaao Penghlis will be setting the table and joining their fans for a brunch extravaganza at the Beverly Hilton on February 8th, 2003. The  event, billed as Deidre Hall: 90210, will mark the first time the popular trio have come together for an exclusive visit with fans.

Hall, known to millions as the beautiful and compassionate Dr. Marlena Evans on NBC's Days of our Lives, originated the concept with her first fan "Lunchbreak" almost two decades ago.  "It all began with a letter from a fan who was losing her eyesight.  Her only request before she went completely blind was to meet Marlena in person.  How could anyone say no to that?," Hall recalls fondly.  "We've held an event almost every year since then", but this one she says will be extra special.  "Drake and Thaao are both so handsome and so charming? what more could a girl want?"

Drake  Hogestyn,  who  plays Hall's onscreen husband, the heroic John Black,  has been romancing Days viewers for over 16 years.  "That's a great run  in any job, but for an actor, it's incredible", states Hogestyn.  "The wonderful  thing about daytime is that it's still new and challenging ? for my  character  especially!  I think I've had about 43 different careers and past  lives  so  far,  and from what I hear", he laughs, "the 44th is right around the corner".

Thaao  Penghlis, who recently returned to the daytime drama after a 6-year  absence,  portrays  the  dashing  Count Antony DiMera.  The role he created  in  1981 has also gone through many incarnations, the latest twist being  a  previously  untapped  darker side - the DiMera side.  "Tony is a fabulous  character  to  play;  he's  very  complex.   He's  not a one-note villain,  nor  a  white  knight. He's shades of grey," says Penghlis, "and it's the unknown that makes it such an interesting journey".
