Update: 2/18/03 Peter Reckell (Bo) and Kelly Moneymaker regret that they will NOT be able to attend. However, Patrika Darbo (Nancy) will be joining Kyle Lowder (Brady) and Arianne Zuker (Nicole) at the parade!
NBC's "Days of Our Lives " stars, Peter Reckell (Bo Brady), Kyle Lowder (Brady Black), Arianne Zuker (Nicole Walker) and special guest, Kelly Moneymaker, formerly of the all-girl group Expose and wife of Peter Reckell, have been chosen as this year's Grand Marshall's for the Krewe of Tucks Mardi Gras Parade in New Orleans, Louisiana.
On Saturday, March 1, 2003, 1-4pm in New Orleans, LA - along Canal Street, the parade will start uptown in the Crescent City and will commence on Canal St. in the heart of downtown New Orleans. The Grand Marshall's will be riding on floats and throwing Mardi Gras beads, to the sound of the ever famous yell of "Throw Me Something Mister!" to the crowds expected to be close to 1 million.
After the parade ends, the festivities will continue at the Sheraton Hotel Canal Street Ballroom where the Krewe of Tucks Mardi Gras Ball will begin with a hot French/Cajun band. Kelly Moneymaker and her band will also perform during the evening. Moneymaker has a new CD, Through The Basement Walls , and her first single, "Can't Live Without Your Love," is the current love theme for the popular couple, Bo & Hope, that Moneymaker wrote for the show. The single is currently being added on radio stations across the country and there even has been a dance/club remix of the song that is expected to make waves in clubs around the nation as well as climbing Billboard's Dance charts.
Besides the southern hospitality, the celebrity guests will also be treated to a crawfish boil, New Orleans food and music and a tour of some of the famous plantations ina round the City.
