Sexy rogue takes up residence in Oakdale

As www.Soapdom.com has been reporting in our Casting section for the past few weeks, Grayson McCouch joins the cast of the long-running CBS Daytime Drama As the World Turns as Lily Snyder's (Martha Byrne) first love, Dusty Donovan beginning Tuesday, February 18, 2003.

The character was last seen in 1998.  What's he been up to for all these years?  One thing is for sure. When Dusty returns to Oakdale, he makes an immediate adversary out of Lily's identical twin, Rose D'Angelo (also played by Martha Byrne), after he mistakes her for Lily, and acts just a tad too familiar with her.  What does he do that immediately rubs Rose the wrong way?

"Grayson is a fantastic addition to the ATWT cast," explains Executive Producer Chris Goutman.  "Dusty Donovan is such a beloved character and Grayson brings a certain mystery to the character who's changed tremendously during his time away from Oakdale."

A New York City native, McCouch received his BA Honors Degree in Theatre from Hamilton College and later studied at the British American Drama Academy.  He spent four seasons with the Williamstown Theater Festival where he performed in Arturo UI, The Visit, Threepenny Opera, A Midsummer's Night Dream, Inherit the Wind, and The Moon Stone.  He was also seen in Electra at the Almeida Theater and Women Beware Women at the Royal Court, both in London.

No stranger to daytime television, McCouch appeared as Morgan Winthrop on Another World (1993-1996) before moving to Los Angeles where he starred on the television shows Legacy and All Souls, as well as appearing on Beverly Hills 90210, The Cosby Mysteries, and the movie-of-the-week, Sins of the Mind.  His feature film credits include Armageddon, Dope and the soon-to-be-released Momentum, with Lou Gossett, Jr and Teri Hatcher.

"I can't wait to return to New York," McCouch shares with fans on his official web site http://www.graysonmccouch.com

For you aspiring actors out there, McCouch is also an acting coach. Visit his website for details.
