We spotted Christian LeBlanc, (Michael, Y&R), Eric Winter (Rex, DOOL), Lauren Woodland (Brittany, Y&R) and Rick Hearst (Ric, GH). Bright Lights -- Big City!  Give our regards to Broadway and all that!  We spotted One Life to Live's David Tom (Paul) and Heather Tom (Kelly)at the Broadway opening of the play, Prymate and the after party on May 5, 2004 at the The Longacre Theatre and Tavern on The Green in New York City.  Heather Tom stars in this play, which had a first run in Los Angeles, and then in Florida at Florida State University before heading to NYC's Great White Way.

OLTL's Kathy Brier (Marcie) bid adieu to her role on Broadway last weekend. On Sunday May 2, 2004 HairSpray closed it's doors at the Neil Simon Theatre in New York City. At right, we see Kathy as she appeared in her final performance. Then, after the show, it was over to Eugene's, where cast and crew enjoyed themselves at a karaoke party! Kathy took to the microphone one more time!  With her Broadway committment over, we can't help but wonder if her storyline on One Life to Live will now heat up. Stay tuned!

Who is that handsome, soap-star-looking young man with Susan Lucci?  Is he her next love interst on AMC? Nope. It's her son, Andreas. We spotted them both at the Tina Santi Flaherty Book Release Party for "What Jackie Taught Us: Lessons from the Remarkable Life of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis" on April 27, 2004 at The Four Seasons Restaurant in New York City.  Andreas may be Lucci's son, but he could be the next soap star sensation. We spotted Passions' McKenzie Westmore sporting Shirley Temple-like goldilocks at the 19th Annual ASCAP Film and Television Awards on April 21, 2004 at The Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, CA cheek-to-cheek with hubby, Seven, from the group, Seven and the Sun.

Here's the thing.  With all the holiday partying going on, you'd think we'd have spotted tons of soapers out and about these past few weeks. Wrong.  Most soap celebs must have chosen to spend the holidays like most of us -- quietly at home with friends and family. However, we did spot ex AMCer Max Alexander (Carlos) at M&M's Candy Black and White Launch Party on New Years Eve, December 31, 2003 at Lobby in New York City.  He must be a fan of things that melt in your mouth, not in your hands!

Michelle Trachtenberg (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, ex Lily, AMC) is certainly making the rounds in LA of late. Here she is at The 2003 KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas - Night Two on December 14, 2003 at the Universal Amphitheater in Universal City, California with Chris Brown of the band Trapt.  Looking awfully cute and cozy no?  Are Trachtenberg and Brown a thing?  Stay tuned.

Ex soaper Antonio Sabato, Jr was spotted at Howard Fine's Winter Wonderful Holiday Party on December 14, 2003 at Boardner's Hollywood, CA.  We also caught DOOL's Kyle Lowder (Brady) and Arianne Zuker (Nicole) and Y&R's Kate Linder (Esther).

DOOL's Peter Reckell (Bo) came out with his wife Kelly Moneymaker to support The First Annual "Red Party" To Benefit The Life Through Art Foundation on December 13, 2003 at a private residence in the affluent Holmby Hills, California

AMC's Mark Consuelos (ex Mateo) was spotted with son, Michael, at the "Peter Pan" Special Screening in New York on December 14, 2003 at the 72nd Street East Theatre in New York City. Consuelos sported a NY Yankees baseball cap and both father and son looked sufficiently bundled up to face the eastcoast weather.

GH'sTamara Braun (Carly) on WORLD AIDS DAY (12/01/03) to support the M•A•C AIDS Fund (www.macaidsfund.org).  Tamara appeared at M•A•C in LA to meet greet fans, bringing awareness and exposure to raise funds for men, women and children with HIV/AIDS.  Over 100 celebrities appeared in 20 U.S. locations.  Thanks to stars like Tamara, the day was a huge success in helping the M•A•C AIDS Fund reach its Dec 2003 goal of raising $1 million for the month.  Since its inception in 1994, the Fund has raised over $31 million through the sale of M•A•C VIVA GLAM lipstick and KIDS HELPING KIDS holiday cards.

This time it was the premiere of the film, Cold Mountain, which was held in Los Angeles on December 7, 2003 at the Mann National Theatre in Westwood, CA.  She was again accompanied by her husband, Harry Hamlin

Y&R's Lyndsy Fonseca (Colleen) and Victoria Rowell (Dru) came out for the Foster Care: Learning To Look at Family In a New Way Event on December 7, 2003 at Avalon in
Hollywood, CA.  Complete with Santa  and his sleigh, this Christmas-themed gathering also featured mega film stars Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson. In fact, Rowell was delighted to pose for photos with Willis and Jackson.

Speaking of Y&R, former star, Ashley Bashioum (Mac), was spotted at the ELLEgirl Celebrates the Holidays event with Cover Girl Mischa Barton (The OC) on December 6, 2003 at the Orange County Museum of Art, Newport Beach, CA. Bashioum was decked in a Burberry wool scarf, white sleeveless blouse, black knee-length skirt and over-the-calf black leather boots. We also spotted ex GLer, Brittany Snow (American Dreams) in spaghetti-strapped black with a swept up hairstyle and long dangling earbobs.

Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, touted to be the best yet in the Tolkein Trilogy taken to film by director Peter Jackson, premiered in the Westwood section of Los Angeles on Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at the Mann Village Theatre.  Soapdom spotted Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Michelle Trachtenberg (ex Lily, AMC), Baywatch and Knight Rider's David Hasselhoff (ex Snapper, Y&R), and of course all the stars from the film, including Orlando Bloom and Viggo Mortensen, who are just so darn good looking, we had to share their photos here! 

Speaking of David Hasselhoff, did you know that he was once married to Catherine Hickland (Lindsay, OLTL) who is now married to Michael E. Knight (Tad, AMC).  What's of particular interest here is that Hickland's ex Hasselholf played the character of Michael Knight on the show Knight Rider.  Current hubby Michael E. Knight once quipped about the coincidence:  "She just married the wrong Michael Knight the first time!"

Trachtenberg, who attended Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, CA, has come a long way from playing Jackson Montgomery's (Walt Willey) adopted autistic daughter Lily on AMC. B&B's Hunter Tylo (ex Taylor) is hawking a new video phone in television commercials airing now for the 2003 Christmas holiday rush.

Tons of stars came out for the 72nd Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade and tree lighting on Sunday, November 30, 2003, including quite a few westcoast-based soap stars. The red carpet took place at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. The tree lighting was held at Hollywood and Highland.  We spotted DOOL's Peter Reckell (Bo) with real life wife, singer/songwriter, Kelly Moneymaker; DOOL's Brian Datillo (Lucas) and Eric Winter (Rex) who rode the same float in the parade; and, Y&R's Kate Linder (Esther) decked to the holiday nines in red and black, including a fashionable red beret.

Oh yeah! Peter Reckell and Kelly Moneymaker's float sported the American Flag, and Reckell kept offering the "peace sign" as the float passed by. Reckell, Moneymaker, Datillo and Winter posed for group photos!

Meanwhile, in the Green Room at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, we spotted Passions Ben Masters (Julian), Lindsay Korman (Theresa), Justin Hartley (Fox), and Tracey Ross (Eve). DOOL's Brian Datillo (Lucas), Eric Winter (Rex), Peter Reckell (Bo) and his wife.  Tracey Ross was likewise dressed to the holiday nines in red and sported a similar red beret to that of Y&R's Kate Linder (Esther).

The ubiquitous former AMC star, Kelly Ripa (Ex Hayley) and star of Hope & Faith and co-host of Live with Regis and Kelly, walked the red carpet at the 14th Annual Glamour Woman of the Year Awards in a tasteful basic black. Her handsome husband, AMC's ex Mateos, Mark Consuelos,likewise attended the event which was held at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City on November 10, 2003.

 

The Young and the Restless' Lyndsay Fonseca (Colleen) showed up at the world premiere of Academy Award winner Russell Crowe's lastest blockbuster, "Master and Commander" in early November, 2003.

At first it was just us. He said he wasn't in town for the earthquake, but "Nic" had been in town and jumped to see to the baby. At first we didn't recognize him because he had a blond hair. We figured it was for the movie he was shooting at the time, "Interview with a Vampire," and he had a cap on. But when he laughed and smiled, we were like oh, we so knew who he was!"
