Tad and Dixie are locked in the bathroom. She's just taken a hot shower. Tad wants to take one. Dixie says: "Go ahead!" "Um, right!" Tad scoffs. "I'm not gonna look," says Dixie. Tad finds that hard to believe. "I drop everything, and you're not gonna take a gander?" "I've seen it all before," she retorts with nonchalance. Not a man to take his bravado lightly, Tad says: "Fine. I don't want to brag or nothing, but you might want to step back!" He whips open his robe and...
Flashes her!
"Ahhhhhhhhh!" she screams. "Put that away!"
"I knew it," says Tad with glee. "Don't trust yourself, do you? I still got it!"
How many of you AMC fans have wondered what Tad was wearing under that robe to make Dixie cry out?

Given his sense of humor, I wouldn't put anything past him. But according to Michael E. Knight, it was all rather innocent.
"I was wearing underwear," he said. "Underwear?" I replied. "Regular, boring underwear? You mean you didn't do anything fun or special to make Cady (McClain, Dixie) react the way she did?" "Nope. But she reacted great, didn't she?" he said, proud of his co-star's talents. "Yes, she did!" I replied.
One question remained. "Briefs or boxers?" I pressed. "Boxers!" Michael responded.
