Going primetime to the big one.

"The One with the Soap Opera Party"

Your First Look Photos of the Episode!

In a previous episode of Friends, Joey (Matt LeBlanc) takes Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) to the set of Days of our Lives.  She watches him perform a hot love scene. In the next episode airing tonight, April 17, 2003, titled “The One with Rachel’s Dream,”  Rachel cannot shake the romantic notions she’s feeling about Joey since her visit with him to the set and seeing him perform.

Then, on April 24, 2003 in an episode titled “The One With the Soap Opera Party,” real life stars of Days of our Lives cross over into primetime when Joey throws a roof-top party for his castmates.

Plus, Ross (David Schwimmer) is all a-twitter when he meets a fellow paleontology professor (guest star Aisha Tyler, "Talk Soup") -- who's a stunning knockout -- but when he takes her to Joey's (Matt LeBlanc) rooftop party for the actor's soap-opera series co-stars(Kyle Lowder, Matthew Ashford, Farah Fath and Alexis Thorpe, NBC's "Days of Our Lives"), she intimidates him with her impressive list of former boyfriends.

Meanwhile, while Chandler (Matthew Perry) is stuck watching an angry harpy act out her one-woman play, Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) and an intoxicated Monica (Courteney Cox Arquette) make fools of themselves at the shindig chasing after the daytime hunks. Lisa Kudrow also stars.

In the small world department, and just in case you’ve been living on Mars for the past 10 years, Jennifer Aniston (Rachel, Friends) is the real-life daughter of John Aniston, the ever manipulative Victor Kiriakis on Days of our Lives!

In the preposterous pondering department, how can Joey, who lives in NYC, star on Days of our Lives, which tapes in Los Angeles, and still be home every evening to hang with his Friends at Central Perk?  Have they invented a new teleporter that we haven’t heard about, or is this just another one of those mysteries of the magic of television!  :)  Probably neither. It is just that both Friends and Days of our Lives are NBC network programs.   Having Joey star on ABC’s All My Children (which does tape in NYC), would definitely go against the NBC corporate grain.
