SORAS Hits B&B
With rumors of a flurry of new casting going on at The Bold and the Beautiful, Soapdom can now confirm that Drew Tyler Bell has been cast in the contract role of Thomas. His first episode (#4211) will air early next year. Question is, is Drew Tyler Bell any relation to Bradley Bell, EP, Co-creator and Headwriter of The Bold and the Beautiful? "No" says the show's spokesperson. "No relation at all!"
In fact, adorably handsome Drew Tyler Bell is a working feature film and television actor, with a number of fun roles already under his belt. He is currently in production on the feature film, State's Evidence. He has also starred in Jeepers Creepers II, and Without Charlie. His TV guest appearances include an episode of Jake 2.0.
On B&B, Bell, who is 17, will play a 16-year old Thomas, aging the character quite a number of years. Bell replaces Patrick Dorn who played the role of Thomas on a recurring basis.
With Bell taking over the role, Thomas has overcome a huge case of SORAS (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome). The show is remaining mum on who the teen will interact with and/or how the 16-year old Thomas will impact the lives of those around him. "No hints yet," said the spokesperson with a smile.
Based on the guy's good looks, we gotta believe he will be breaking a few young hearts in the fashion world. To find out for sure, check into The Bold and the Beautiful and see!
Is the casting of Bell the beginning of a rush of new faces on B&B? "Stay tuned," said the show's spokesperson. "There will be a lot of breaking casting news very soon!" Drew Tyler Bell's first airdate as Thomas is January 9, 2004.
