Opera meets soap opera on All My Children

 

Dear Soapdom,

There was a song on the March 7, 2008 episode of All My Children played for Kendall (Alicia Minshew) by a violinist. This song was also played at the Valentines Ball prior to the explosion a couple of years ago. I cannot find this tune anywhere - can you tell me the name of this song?

Thank you for contacting Soapdom. According to our contacts at All My Children, the song you are referrinig to is a Puccini melody titled: “O Mio Babbino Caro.”  It is from his one act opera, “Gianni Schicci.”  We believed it was preformed on the violin by a studio muscian.
