Soapdom's Mark Edward Wilows had the enviable task of asking two of Days of our Lives hottest stars, namely Eric Martsolf (Brady) and Shawn Christian (Daniel), a few quick questions. Here's how it went down!

DEFINE YOUR CHARACTER?

EM. He is fun. Brady is interesting to play. He has his addictions, and you never know how he is going to react or what he will do next.

SC. (Laughing) Well, a lot of fun too. He has a side that sometimes surprises me. Daniel can be fun, or very serious.

HOW HAVE THE SHOWS (soaps) CHANGED OVER THE YEARS?

EM. We work a lot harder. There is a lot of work, and we now work months in advance in taping. We can do up to eight shows a week.

SC. No time. You go in and do it. You need to be prepared. There is no time for retakes, nor do they want retakes. Time is money.

WHAT WOULD BE YOUR ULTIMATE STORY?

EM. On some island with drinks. What could be better?

SC. Yes! By all means, I agree! And have servants work around you.

WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF THE JOB?

EM. The show. Without a doubt I can say I work with the best people. It makes the difference.

SC. Lets see? I'd say the great intriguing stories is what I enjoy.

AND THE WORST PART OF THE JOB?

EM. The work, the studying, and preparing in a short time. You also need to be very dedicated.

SC. I agree! The dedication and preparation is key. If you don't have those two, then it can be rough.

WHAT IS YOUR TYPICAL DAY WHEN NOT WORKING?

EM. Up at six. I'm a dad, and that is my calling time. Same when I work, but on working days, off I go. On my days off it's chores.

SC. I have a kid too. It's just being a busy dad.

YOUR TAKE ON INTERNET SHOWS?

EM. It's technology. Time will tell. It is a very changing medium.

SC. Honestly! I don't know. Network is network, but again, it is being explored and we need to see.

DO YOU MISS YOUR OLD SHOWS?

EM. (Passions) I do. The show was a very fun show to work on. Today there would be no budget to produce such a program.

SC. (As The World Turns) Yes! I miss Kathleen Widdoes (Emma Snyder) We had great conversations. She is the consummate pro. I also miss working with Maura West (Carly), but the good news is that we get together for dinner.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN TEN YEARS?

EM. Hopefully working. Or at least still being in this business.

SC. Same here, but who knows? Again...it's wait and see.

DID YOU EVER THINK YOU WOULD BE ON SOAPS THIS LONG?

EM. No, but it is great. It really is a great steady job to have.

SC. Probably not, but again...I have work, and it is work that I truly love.

WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS?

EM. Be happy and keep working.

SC. Ditto

EM. Really? Adoring fans? (Laughing) Yes! Thank you for your loyalty and support over the years.

SC. Being there. Following my career. You guys are great!
