Looking for the perfect gift? Or something that you want to give someone, like a child or grandchild? Well... Write Brain Books has just the gift idea for you.  And, it will be everlasting!

Meredith Scott Lynn, (Ann, Days of our Lives) brainstormed a wonderful idea. A book! But not your ordinary book -- one that is special and crested by you. You are the author.

According to the actress turned entrepreneur...

"I love this, and I came up with this interesting idea," Lynn said. "I was reading a book to my niece that only had illustrations and I put it to words. I brought it to life and created a story. I was like...Wow! This is great! I got inspired, and when I get inspired, I go."

Scott brainstormed how to turn this dream into reality. She approached Days co-star and veteran actress, Deidre Hall (Marlena), to pen out the first book. It is called "Little Big Bear," a story of a little brown bear that learns about life after he leaves the circus.

"I will tell you now! Get out the Kleenex," Lynn said. "This book is a must read, and Deidre was fabulous. She dedicated the book to her own real-life sons, Tully and David, who she refers to as her "own big bears."

Write Brain Books has a curriculum for all grade levels. "This is a book where the kids become the authors," explained Lynn. "They create the scene, they put it in their own words. It is their voice that they give to a character. The books are published by the children, but anyone can publish and give to anyone for any reason."

The creativity begins with an Author Kit that guides the writer. Lynn contacted the Academy of Art in San Francisco and they created 20 children's books with illustrations.

The twenty artists received a small fee for their work. Lynn added that the visual artists are brilliant and every page tells a story.

"I'm so adamant on bringing back writing. The art (of storytelling in this way) is disappearing," Lynn said. "With social media, the art of creating and putting words together with being creative is gone. I'm so excited about this."

The sketches in the books were created with bullet points and beautiful vibrant bright colors. It is the bright colors that stimulate the brain.

"Write Brain Books brings out the child in grown-ups and the grown-up in children."

Upon completion of the book, it gets bound with a cover that depicts the title and author's name. The book will also be available live online.

"Again, I love this. To bring back the creativity that we all have in us is remararkable," Lynn said. "I know everyone that embarks on creating their own personal book will be proud and thrilled."

Lynn plans on getting more Days of our Lives actors involved to write a book, and also Jen Lilley (Theresa) has been a benefactor in helping get this project up and running.

"I think I was Meredith's first or second investor. I knew I wanted to be a part of Write Brain Books immediately," Lilley said. "It's a genius idea that not only encourages kids to learn and explore their own creativity, but it builds their self esteem and self worth!"  She went on to share that she loves children, and loves encouraging people. "I think education is empowering, so investing in Write Brain Books was a no brainier for me."

Write Brain Books has a charitable branch called Write Brain Gives, which donates 10% of all sales toward giving under funded schools the tools they need for success.
