Do Dante and Valerie have a chance?
In any other circumstance, I would say they absolutely do. But this is a tough situation. Dante didn't want his marriage to end, but he gave in. If it were up to Dante, he would be working to fix his error in judgment – he would be living with Lulu. Dante would be a married man.
So again, Dante turned to Valerie for comfort. I can't say I blame Dante this time though. He saw the writing on the wall and realized he was fighting a losing battle. If Lulu wanted to
end the marriage, there wasn't much Dante could do to stop her. And this time, Dante wasn't cheating, he was moving forward.
So the question is, do Dante and Valerie have a chance for any kind of happy relationship? They might, but it will take a lot of work. Dante will forever be tied to Lulu since they share a son. And we can't forget that Dante still loves Lulu. He's not over her and it may be a long time before he is. But there's clearly a draw between Dante and Valerie. And they share an interest in law enforcement – that's a pretty big common ground. It's entirely possible that they can build a life together, but it's too soon to tell.
I believe that Valerie loves Dante. But will she be able to stand in the shadow of his wife? It's not easy being a man's second choice. I'm not sure Valerie is willing to settle for that. But if she loves Dante as much as I think she does, Valerie will do what she has to do to keep him.
I'm disappointed that Sabrina hasn't told Michael the truth about her baby. Michael is a stand-up guy. Michael loves Sabrina and I know he would step up and be there for her and the baby no matter what.
The big issue here is Carlos. We know by now that Carlos has no intention of leaving Sabrina and his child behind. But this will be an interesting situation since Carlos is supposed to be dead.
Finally, let's discuss the elephant in the room – Jason and Elizabeth. So here's the short version – Jason loves Elizabeth. Does it really matter if she knew the truth all this time? Would it have changed anything? The answer is no. Jason still wouldn't have his memory back and he still would have no recollection of Sam and their relationship. So why not let everyone just be happy and move on?
In actor news, Jason Thompson (Ex Patrick) has finished filming and is officially the new Billy on "Y&R." John J. York returned this week as Mac Scorpio. No official word on whether York will be around for a while, but we're hoping.
