Elizabeth fights for her happiness
On the one hand, I understand how Elizabeth feels. She's always loved Jason and they can finally be happy. But it really isn't her decision to make. Jason (Jake) deserves to know the truth. Then he can be the one to decide his future.
I really think Jason would choose to be with Elizabeth this time around. They have a very strong connection, and for good reason. Jason really has no interest in Sam. And Sam seems very happy with Patrick. Not to mention little Emma. It would be difficult for Emma to lose Sam, especially after what happened with Sabrina.
But again, it's a big truth, and Jason should be the one to decide how he will handle it. It isn't for Elizabeth to decide. Nobody deserves that kind of power.
I understand that Elizabeth was shocked by Ric's behavior. And that was topped off when Elizabeth learned that Jason really is alive and well. Imagine Liz's surprise when she learned that her one true love was the man she was longing for. But it's not an easy situation – it's not that simple.
How will Elizabeth sleep at night know what she now knows? There's also the matter of Danny – his father is alive. Doesn't Danny deserve better? And even if Sam chooses to stay with Patrick upon learning the truth, that's her decision to make.
I would love nothing more than for Jason and Elizabeth to finally have a future. But this isn't the right way to go about it.
I really don't want Duke to die. I'm thinking Anna will shuttle him off to safety and pretend he's dead. Anna loves Duke – and I for one was so glad they finally talked it out. It was good to finally see that Duke had the kind soul we all knew he had.
In actor news, Tony Geary (Luke) has decided not to stay on past his current contract. The actor will film through June and air into July. Genie Francis (Laura) will return this summer but don't expect a Luke and Laura reunion. Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) is once again out of the picture, as is Emily Wilson (Ellie).
