Laura's return changes everything
I love Laura – I've loved her since she was in high school. Why do the people of Port Charles seem to hate Laura? Nobody was happy to see her. Even Lulu seemed annoyed that her own mother was in town. Lulu gave Laura a brief hug which was so odd – how long has it been since mother and daughter have seen each other?
So many people (Dillon, Tracy, Bobbie) were just disrespectful of Laura. And why Luke would let everyone talk that way to the mother of his children is beyond me. What did Laura do that was so horrible? She had a love, life, and marriage with Luke for years. So why is it so unusual that Laura would come to town?
Yes, I know that Luke is over Laura. And yes, I know the two of them are teaming up for a good reason. But nobody else knows that – yet. Have a little respect people of Port Charles. And look out – Laura is back in town!
As for Dante arresting TJ, I say he did his job. Yes, TJ was simply buying jewelry using his own credit card. But, why in the world would TJ get into an altercation? Especially since TJ wasn't doing anything wrong. If TJ had cooperated, he could have called the guard (and the store) on their attitude toward him at another time. Heck, TJ could have called Diane and filed a lawsuit. Just don't get into a scuffle with a security guard. Take the high road.
Isn't it something how easy it was for Jake to become the head of ELQ's security? Jake has no real experience as far as we know. Michael knows nothing of Jake, yet he hired this man to protect his family company. It's frightening how naïve Michael has become. I think Michael needs to wise up or he may just lose ELQ in the end.
In actor news, Genie Francis (Laura) has confirmed that she will stay with the show after Ton Geary's (Luke) departure. Donna Mills returned as the always interesting Madeline. And former GH cast member Jason Cook (Matt) will return to "Days of Our Lives" for the soap's 50th Anniversary.

Timing? It was all about timing, I think, Laurie. The fact that Laura just happened to show up at Luke and Tracey's engagement party was a tad too coincidental. Good for ratings. Not so good for believability. Least from my perspective. I agree, tho, that Lulu was more apologetic to Tracey about her mother's unannounced return than she was happily surprised that her mom's back in town. Something askew about that, methinks, fer sure! |
