Grammy Award-winning recording artist Enrique Iglesias performs on The Young and the Restless on Wednesday, November 7, 2007. He struts his stuff at Indigo, the club owned by Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John). He will sing "Somebody's Me," the second US single from his hit CD, Insomniac. Iglesias is currently on the first leg of a world tour in support of Insomniac, performing at sold-out shows in cities such as London, Dublin, Copenhagen, Johannesburg, Lisbon, Moscow, Munich, Stockholm, and Vilnius.
One of the most distinctive and internationally renowned vocalists in contemporary music, Iglesias has earned a string of accolades and sales milestones. He has eight multi-platinum albums to his credit (four in English, four in Spanish), is a Grammy and Latin Grammy Award winner and has sold more than 40 million albums around the world. A former Billboard Artist of the Year, Iglesias also garnered four American Music Awards, eight Premio Lo Nuestro Awards. Enrique has also received numerous ASCAP Awards in recognition of his songwriting prowess. The current album, Insomniac, is now platinum or gold in 18 countries and is riding high off the international hit "Do You Know (The Ping Pong Song)" as well as the second U.S. single "Somebody’s Me," with more singles on the way in 2008.
Oh and in case you were wondering, The Young and the Restless has been the Number One rated drama for more than 18 years and is in its 35th season. The series tied with "Guiding Light" to win the 2007 Outstanding Drama Series Daytime Emmy Award, marking its seventh award in this category, and bringing its Emmy total to a record 100.
