Victoria Rowell played the charming and sometimes disarming Drucilla
"Dru" Barber Winters for over 17 years on The Young and the Restless. From 1990 through 2007, she starred in 455 episodes, while at times doing double duty on CBS primetime's Diagnosis Murder with co-star Dick van Dyke. With quite an impressive acting resume, both in feature films like Dumb and Dumber and a scores of other primetime televison, she is now turing her sights on yet another CBS primetime favorite, Ghost Whisperer.
On Friday, January 29, 2010, Rowell stars along side Jennifer Love Hewitt in show 513, titled Living Nightmare. In this episode, madness seems to grip the hospital -- and the town -- when a ghost, who is making no sense, haunts a patient who's making even less. The mystery deepens as Melinda (Hewitt) discovers a family secret that has killed before, and may kill again.
Rowell couldn't have had a more positive experience. "The director and crew were wonderful, and I especially loved my role, that of a social worker," she revealed to Soapdom. "The costume designer was the bomb...but who most impressed me was the show's star, Jennifer Love Hewitt, graceful, warm and full of fun."
Along with her guest-starring role in Ghost Whisperer, Rowell is also starring in "Home of the Brave" opposite Samuel L. Jackson, currently airing on "the tube." On May 4th, Simon & Schuster/ATRIA will launch her second book, "SECRETS of a SOAP OPERA DIVA!"
"It's fun fiction just in time for a sizzling beach read," Rowell shares with Soapdom. Log on to www.secretsofasoapoperadiva.com for all the behind the scenes details of the tour.
