General Hospital's Jackie Zeman (Bobbie) has landed a new gig! She's gone from playing nurse Bobbie Spencer in Port Charles to being the co-host -- along with Dr. Ava Cadell -- of Sex Drive Radio, a Live Online Radio Talk Show where the hosts discuss topics related to relationships, sex,

The call in number is 877 811-5611, but call or listen in if you dare! We cannot guarantee any g-rating for this site.August 24, 2009

According to Rick Springfield's (Dr. Noah Drake, General Hospital) official webiste, Springfield is set to guest star on the third season of Showtime's Californication. He will play a "twisted version of Rick Springfield" in four episodes of Showtime's hit show, Californication, starring David Duchovny! The show begins its 3rd season on Sunday September 27th and airs each Sunday on Showtime at 10pm. Springfield’s first appearance will be in episode 3, which is scheduled to air on Sunday, October 11th. A sad day in soaps, indeed. Today is the last tape day for Guiding Light. The soap debuted as a radio serial 72 years ago and aired for 15 minutes. In the early 1950s it switched to broadcast television. Charita Bauer played Bert Bauer from 1952-1984. On September 18, 2009, Guiding Light will fade from the airwaves. We will miss its stories and denizens.

Young and the Restless fans and Guiding Light fans you are in for a treat. Jeanne Cooper (Kay, Y&R) and Christian LeBlanc (Michael, Y&R) will be paying the denizens of Springfield a visit, but it is not a show crossover. This is Cooper's idea -- a way to pay tribute to Guiding Light. Both Cooper and LeBlanc will head to Springfield but they will not be playing Kay and Michael. Their visit will not have anything to do with Y&R. Check out Soapdom's exclusive interview with Jeanne Cooper on her visit to Springfield.

Michael E. Knight (Tad, "All My Children") and his ex-wife, Catherine Hickland (Lindsay, "One Life to Live"), no longer own their Upper West Side apartment in New York. The penthouse apartment on West 84th Street, mere blocks from the W66th Street ABC studidos where their shows are currently taped, was purchased in the late 90's for about $1 million and sold this spring for over $2 million. In mid 2007, the penthouse suffered major roof leaks -- which were repaired -- so doubling their investment upon sale was indeed a great boon. Knight also owns a home in the Carolina's and Hickland has just purchased her dream house. We hear it's in an upscale suburb of Las Vegas.Procter & Gamble shifting its focus? In the 1930's P&G created radio soap operas and then TV soap operas to sell its products to the woman of the house, who, studies show, is responsible for making more puchasing decisons than men. However, P&G is now changing its tune, or is it? According to Forbes Magazine, they are paying around $10 million for a multi-year deal that will turn four of its brands: Gillette, Old Spice, Head & Shoulsers, and Febreze into "Official Locker Room Products of the NFL." But don't think that P&G is going totally male centric. Forbes notes that 285 million football fans are female! "Let's not forget," says Mark Waller, senior vice president for sales and marketing at the NFL, "more women watch the Super Bowl than watch the Academy Awards."
Days of our Lives Alison Sweeney (Sami) is about to write another book! This time its on health and nutrition. As the mom of two young kids, giving birth to her most recent, a baby girl in January 2009, Sweeney, who also hosts NBC's The Biggest Loser, is about to delve into authoring the lifestyle book: The Mommy Diet. "It will include tips and suggestions about nutrition, clothing, fitness and recipes. Kind of a day in the life," Sweeney tells ET Online. Sweeney also wrote All the Days of My Life (So Far) in 2005.
All My Children's Walt Willey (Jackson) is out and about performing across the country doing his comedy act, and even a stint in a high school auditorium production of The Odd Couple, where he played Felix. His stand up comedy these days focuses a lot around animals. "There is always something going on at my farm in New Mexico," Willey told Dan Pearson of the Mundelein Review. "We have a new dog and a new cat and it's kind of tough to tell which one is which, so I will be talking a bit about that." Apparently, Willey also has a rather locatious parrot that makes its way into his comedy material. "I've been gone a lot and she doesn't like that at all," Willey explains. "She had been calling people that have been caring for her names. Where she heard these names, I have no idea. 'Hey, dummy!' is not a phrase I use." Willey is also happy to be on extended leave from AMC at the moment. "Right now, I understand Erica is fooling around with Ryan, which is another reason I am glad that Jack is out of town so he doesn't have to see that," Willey joked. "I think our status (Erica and Jack, that is) is that we have some unfinished business which hopefully we will get to finish at some point."
