With all the young tots abounding in Port Charles these days, it's no wonder that there's a need for a children's specialist at General Hospital. Which is precisely why the soap has created a brand new character. Her name is Maggie and she's a pediatrician.
The contract role of Dr. Mags (as Soapdom will be inclined to call her) will be played by soapdom newcomer, Kodi Kitchen...
Kitchen may be new to soaps, but she's paid a few dues climbing the acting career ladder. She played a waitress in the feature film 17 Again (Matt Perry, Zach Ephron), and had leading roles in the films Jaded, Another Beautiful Day, Stray Bullet, and Placebo. Likewise, she had a supporting role in 2001 Maniacs. Her prime time TV credits include CSI: NY, the pilot Hong Kong Cafe, The Tom Green Show, Carpoolers, and another pilot called Bouncers.
Stunningly beautiful, Kitchen also served as the Host of Fast Track to Fitness, Fast Track to Health, and World of Yachts for cable television, and was a regular on internet series Hot Hot Los Angeles and See Jane Date. She began her career as a model and studied acting focusing heavily on the Meisner Method.
Just who Doctor Maggie will be interacting with when she hits Port Charles remains to be seen. She begins taping today, and her first airdate is Thursday, November 10, 2011. Be sure to tune in!
