Nikolas shows his dark side
So it's been a while since we've seen the darker side of Nikolas, but he's back. Or so it seems. Nikolas was involved in the election scandal, which seems out of character for him. So I wonder if he's really just pretending to be "bad."
It doesn't make sense that Nikolas would partner up with Helena either. Given that Nik has a young, impressionable son, why would he make the decision to be so devious? Nikolas is smart and connected. Even if Helena cuts him off, I would think Nikolas could make a good living and provide for his son.
So I feel like he's just pretending to be this dark and devious man. As a means to an end, I mean. Nikolas knows what Helena is capable of, so there's no way he would willingly work with her. I believe Nikolas is trying to rid himself of Helena. I think Nikolas would like to see Helena pay for all of her crimes. More importantly, Nikolas wants to protect the people he loves from Helena. And the only way to do that is to team up with Helena and get some evidence against her. A classic case of keeping your friends close and your enemies closer.
I wasn't so happy to see the return of Rosalie. So this time around she's working for Helena and against Michael. Poor Michael is so clueless. Why didn't he do a background check on this woman? He just hired her – just like that. That isn't very smart or realistic, considering what's at stake. Who hires an assistant without checking to see if they have a record? And I'd sure like to know what Rosalie's big secret is.
Forgive me but Patrick and Sam just turn me off. They look more like siblings than they should for one thing. It's very unsettling to see them together. I would much rather see Patrick back with Sabrina. That pairing made much more sense.
