Passions fans heads up. All My Children fans, you're in for a treat.
McKenzie Westmore (ex Sheridan, Passions) is on her way to Pine Valley to talk some sense into Annie Lavery (Melissa Claire Egan). Westmore has landed the role as Annie's psychiatrist. Yup. Annie will be seeking professional help. Or -- will it be legally mandated for her? Either way she will definitely be in good hands now that Westmore's character is taking her under her wing.
According to Westmore, the role is recurring at this point, but as Westmore told Soapdom, "Who knows what the future holds?" In the meantime, Westmore, a native Californian, is having a a great time in NYC. "I love it," she shared. Far as working on the east coast soap, "I am having a blast and everyone couldn't be nicer," she revealed to Soapdom.
Westmore, who for the better part of her nine year stint on Passions, was in and out of love with hunky police officer, Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald (Galen Gering, now appearing on Days of our Lives), is as excited as the rest of us that she’s now on AMC. "I can't wait for my airdate," she enthused. Neither can we.
Watch for Westmore to show up as Annie's shrink on December 12, 2008.
