Will Delia clear up the mystery?
I'm not surprised that Denise is Denise and not Ava. I wonder if Delia had twins and they were both given up for adoption. That's really the only explanation that makes sense. I don't imagine that Delia had two children with Ava's father.
The emergence of Denise is a good thing. It brings back Maura West in what promises to be a very colorful role.
Between the accent, the gum chewing, and the dark hair, Denise has already made quite an impression. Ava sort of ran her course – the only thing left was to kill her off. Ava was a convicted murderer and she had a fatal illness. There simply was no place for her to go.
Denise offers up all kinds of interesting possibilities. Can you imagine the romantic pairings she could be part of? The first one that comes to mind is Sonny. And of course there's Morgan.
Speaking of pairings, Ric is working with Madeline to get Nina's money! Ric certainly recovered from his broken relationship with Elizabeth. He's on to the next mark – Nina. And the sad part is that Nina is none the wiser. I think Nina will realize what Ric is up to eventually. And Ric had better run when she does.
I'm not sure Sonny deserves Shawn's loyalty. In fact, I know he doesn't. Sonny always has a fall guy and he generally ends up with clean hands. Sonny has literally gotten away with murder more than once. It would be nice if just once, Sonny was made accountable for his crimes. I'm sure we'll see Shawn again, but not for a long time.
In actor news, Genie Francis (Laura) officially returns on June 5, according to Entertainment Weekly. Robert Palmer Watkins joins the show as Dillon Q – the character was last played by Scott Clifton. Ilene Kristen (Delia) is back briefly as Ava's mother. Perhaps she'll shed some light on Denise's past. Finally, watch for Brianna Brown (ex Lisa) on the Lifetime hit series, "Devious Maids" beginning on Monday June 1.
