Freddie Smith (Sonny, Days of our Lives)Freddie Smith (Sonny) of Days of our Lives looks at it as "giving back" to his fans. On April 7th in Fort. Lauderdale, Florida; he will just be doing that.

By Mark Edward Wilows

Smith is having a meet and greet and giving back a guaranteed fun time to his many fans. "I'm taking this step by step to see how it goes, but my fans have given me so much that I want to do something in return," Smith said. "This is an afternoon to get up close, share stories, mingle, and get together."

Smith said there will be pictures, autographs, a Q&A session, and he is bringing some surprise gifts for the fans. "Oh I'm not telling (laughing). I know they will enjoy them," he added. "There will be raffles, lunch, and someone will get a chance to have a one on one breakfast with me."

Can you imagine breakfast with Freddie Smith? A dream come true. There will be a special raffle for that, and the entire event is free of charge.

Smith is very big on giving back. In fact, you can say adamant might be the best to describe how he feels.

He is very involved in many charitable organizations like Big Brothers and Big Sisters, GLADD, No hate organizations to name a few.

"I want everyone to know that this has nothing to do with being an actor. Anyone can do this. Help people make the right decisions, and you will see how much love it can bring to be a part of this. I love being able to help."

Smith explained that before he becomes involved in any organization, it always requires research. He also wants to spread the word on the importance of volunteering and the importance to become involved.

"Like anything you venture in, you do research and check it out," Smith said. "I look for the standards of the charity, the need, and what they stand for, and how I can do my part."

Smith recently became involved with a product called, Nerium, an anti-aging cream, and with all the profits from the product, thirty per-cent goes into cancer research.

"I heard about Nerium and made contact with the company to become involved. Nerium was researched and tested first to be a cream for skin cancer, but it was found not to be effective," Smith said. "Then it was discovered that it worked miracles as an anti-aging cream."

The cream is Government patented. It is organic, and there is no animal cruelty involved in the making of the cream.

"I admit! I use the cream. You know, my belief is you start young to take care of yourself," Smith said. "I think when you begin in your twenties it helps, but no matter what age you are, everyone wants to look good, especially younger."

The cream can be used on the face, neck, arms, and back of hands, with proven results.

"I call this the miracle cream." Smith said.

Soapdom would like to know is there anything you'd like to tell your fans, or anything about Days of our Lives we should know? "Well Yes! We are going to have the first gay wedding in the history of daytime TV, and I cannot tell you how proud I am," Smith said. "Finally Sonny and Will (Guy Wilson) are tying the knot. I have to say that it will be beautiful. I'm watching it myself when it airs. (April 1-3) Doing it is one thing, but it looks different when it plays. I guarantee it will be great! And guess who marries us? Will's grandmother, Marlena (Deidre Hall)."
