The Bold and the Beautiful has received its seventh consecutive nomination for the Monte Carlo Television Festival's International TV Audience Awards in the "Telenovela/ Soap Opera" category. Winning this award for the last six years, with an estimated 35 million daily viewers in over 100 countries, The Bold and the Beautiful remains the most watched daily dramatic series in the world.
For a half-hour daytime serialized drama, that's an amazing accomplishment in anyone's book. Way to go B&B! Here's why...
The 7th Annual TV Audience Awards will honor the programs that gathered the highest number of viewers worldwide in 2011 across not on, not two, but five continents! The nominees were pre-selected among the 15 best-performing foreign fiction programs in 65 countries. The winners will be revealed at the 52nd Monte Carlo Television Festival Awards on Thursday, June 14, 2011, at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.
Bold and the Beautiful cast members Scott Clifton ("Liam Spencer"), Don Diamont ("Bill Spencer, Jr.") Jacqueline MacInnes Wood ("Steffy Forrester"), Kim Matula ("Hope Logan") and Hunter Tylo ("Taylor Hayes") will attend the festival in the Principality of Monaco, as guests of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, from June 10-14, 2012. The five actors are set to attend the Opening Gala and Closing Award Ceremonies, as well as television appearances, press days, autograph signings and special festival events.
The Bold and the Beautiful and the Monte Carlo Television Festival will celebrate the milestone with The Bold and the Beautiful 25th Anniversary Party for festival attendees on Monday, June 11th, at 7:30 p.m. at the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel. In addition, The Bold and the Beautiful is hosting contest winners from Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, France, Netherlands and Norway, who will travel to the festival as part of their grand prize package, including a winner's luncheon on Monday, June 11th, with the actors. Those lucky stiffs!
The Monte Carlo Television Festival (www.tvfestival.com) is hosted under the Honorary Presidency of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, and includes press events, a jury competition and awards, premiere screenings, glamorous receptions and parties hosted by the major networks and studios.
