Multi-Emmy® winning drama series The Bold and the Beautiful will shoot eight to ten episodes in the stunning southern Italian coastal region of Puglia, in and around the elegant Masseria San Domenico and exquisite Borgo Egnazia resorts, said Executive Producer and Head Writer, Bradley Bell.
"I am excited to feature another gorgeous Italian region on The Bold and the Beautiful," Bell enthused. But that's not all he previewed...
"Brooke, Ridge and our other characters will find out that even in the remote location of Puglia, you can't run away from the drama."
The episodes will shoot from May 7th to 11th, and will air in the U.S. on the CBS Television Network in late spring, 2012. Audiences in Italy will see the episodes in the spring of 2013. At least five cast members, including Ronn Moss (Ridge Forrester) and Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan), will travel to Puglia. Additional cast will be announced at a later date.
The fictional Forresters, with their fashion empire, are global jet-setters, though the action is usually set against the bright lights of Los Angeles. This will be The Bold and the Beautiful's fourth Italian location shoot, after Lake Como (1997), Venice (1999) and Portofino (2002). The series also shot episodes in Sydney, Australia (2007), Aspen, Colorado (2011-12) and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico (2011).
