Soapdom has just learned that original Bold and the Beautiful cast member, Ronn Moss (Ridge Forrester), has opted not to renew his contract.
Although some published reports note salary issues as the cause, Moss seems happy and content in his decision to leave the show as he looks forward to new heights to achieve.
After all, The Bold and the Beautiful is not Moss' first foray into stardom. As a founding member of the band Player, Moss experienced rock stardom way before he ever stepped foot on a soap opera sound stage with the band's timeless hit, "Baby Come Back"
Now it is time for him to take another leap and he wants his fans to join him for the ride.
As he's been tweeting today...
Moss: "I want to make sure, without any doubt, that you guys all know how much I love you. Your support during this time and hopefully beyond is... Everything. I can't say anything yet, but soon will explain. Hang in there with me, we have a wonderful new journey ahead of us. Try and not be sad, angry, disappointed.. It's been a great run and all good things end eventually. As this door closes, others are opening. I want u all to come with me through these new doors of opportunities and experience how cool it's going to be. Have faith,b strong, I'm yours."
We have reached out to The Bold and the Beautiful but have not yet received confirmation from the show. We will keep you apprised of further developments.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Moss will tape his last episode tomorrow, Tuesday, August 14th, but will continue airing for the next few weeks.
In the meantime, we join all Moss' fans in wishing the actor the best in his future endeavors. We have loved and enjoyed the character of Ridge since the getgo. We will miss seeing him daily in the LA fashion world of the Bold and the Beautiful, but we know that whatever is next is what's best for him.
Stay in touch, Ronn!
