Soapdom is delighted to confirm that actress Karla Mosley is joining The Bold and the Beautiful in the contract role of "Maya Avant" and actor Lawrence Saint-Victor is joining B&B as well in the contract role of "Carter Walton."
Executive Producer and Head Writer Bradley P. Bell officially announced the news Wednesday, December 13, 2012.
Both Mosley and St. Victor are veteran CBS soap stars, playing a married couple on Guiding Light. Their characters are not related on B&B.
Mosley's other credits include roles in the films, Men in Black 3, Burn After Reading, and For Love of the Film. Her television credits include TLC-Discovery Kids' Hi-5, Law & Order: CI, Gossip Girl and Nate the Great. Having earned her B.F.A. in Drama from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Mosley's theater credits are extensive.
Saint-Victor, born June 14, 1982, in Rockland County, New York -- where, by the way, yours truly grew up, is best known for playing Remy Boudreau on Guiding Light. His other credits include guest-starring roles on For Better or Worse, Ugly Betty, Law & Order: SVU, Wed Locked and The History Channel's Honor Deferred. Saint-Victor graduated with a B.F.A. in Acting from Purchase College, State University of New York.
The character of "Maya" arrives on The Bold and the Beautiful on January 17, 2013 as a mysterious woman from "Dayzee Leigh Forrester's" (played by Kristolyn Lloyd) past on Skid Row.
"Carter" arrives on January 29, 2013 as "Marcus Walton Forrester's" (played by Texas Battle) adoptive brother.
