Kristolyn Lloyd joins the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful in the contract role of "Dayzee" beginning December 20, 2010, Executive Producer and Head Writer, Bradley P. Bell announced last month. Originally cast as a recurring player, Lloyd began airing on October 7, as an advocate for the homeless who gives "Stephanie Forrester" (portrayed by multi-Emmy® award winning actress, Susan Flannery) a new lease on life and the will to fight her stage-four lung cancer. "Kristolyn is a gifted young actress and I'm happy to have her as a permanent member of the B&B family," said Bell. "As we moved forward in telling the story of the plight of the homeless, I realized that the character of 'Dayzee' had so much more to offer and needed to stick around to make sure that everyone kept their 'new set of glasses' on!"
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Lloyd graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor's Degree in Drama. She soon began booking roles in stage productions such as "Romeo and Juliet", "As You Like It", "Slide Glide the Slippery Slope", "Hamlet", "Hello Again", "Urinetown", and "Once on this Island", a Reprise Theater Company production. She most recently starred in the Hollywood Bowl production of "Rent", directed by Neil Patrick Harris.
Her television credits include an appearance on the hit drama ER, starring alongside one of Lloyd's acting idols, Angela Bassett.
