It's come down to this. The final week of taping for One Life to Live's broadcast show begins Monday, November 14. As stars wrapped on this, the Friday evening before the final week, Kristen Alderson (Starr) tweeted that it was "another very sad day in Llanview, but I know you will all LOVEEEE it!! So extremely thankful for the cast & crew."
As most ABC Daytime soap fans know, One Life to Live was cancelled along with All My Children earlier this year, but in true soap-like fashion, the amazing visionaries at LA-based production company, Prospect Park, have come to the rescue with THE Online Network. One Life to Live will begin airing online and subsequently on cable early next year.
Still, it's bitter sweet on the set as actor's tape their final scenes, and make decisions for their future, like if they are going to continue with the online version or not. Just yesterday, fan favorite David Gregory (Robert Ford) let fans know on his Facebook page that after a long, hard decision, he was choosing not to continue on.
Many other of One Life's big stars have signed deals with Prospect Park, including Erica Slezak (Viki), Kassie dePaiva (Blair), Ted King (Tomas), Michael Easton (John) and others.
Alderson went on to tweet: "Thank you Sole fans! Thank you for your constant support (even
through these rough times). Nic,Van and I have been working extremely hard for the #Jarr and #Sole fans! Having a lot of fun, can't wait until you guys see what happens!"
Either can we. Be sure to tune in to One Life to Live from now till the broadcast end to see how it all wraps up and more importantly, how it will lead us into the new online version.
