Having the day before Thanksgiving to digest news of Prospect Park's announcement that they were suspending efforts to launch One Life to Live and All My Children online, the stars of the soap operas and their fans are speaking out about the news.
Some of the comments are heartfelt. Others are downright nasty -- with the brunt of the blame on Prospect Park. That's a real shame. After all, it was Prospect Park that stepped in and tried to make lemonade from ABC daytime's lemons. Here's the soap opera buzz…

The Canceling of OLTL I am refusing to give up i know PP cancelled their plans for OLTL but i have been watching OLTL since 1992 when my nana got me into watching it. I was 12 at the time my 6 year old just started watching with me last year. What has become of the world when they take shows off that have been watched for generations my Nana would be rolling over in her grave right now. I started watching right as Hillary B Smith came on the show i was instantly hooked with the chemistry her and Robert S Woods have. I really hope someone else can take this soap opera over and make it for more generation to come to enjoy. |

I hear you... Hi HBSANDRSWFAN. Your comments are well taken. Many fans have come to love their soaps thanks to watching with their grandparents and parents. lt is really heartbreaking that we have lost One Life to Live and All My Children. We do have a few more weeks of One Life and we should be sure to tune in every day. Like you, I refuse to give up. Maybe someone else will come to the rescue, or maybe PP will reconsider. Let's keep thinking positively and in the meantime, enjoy the rest of One Life to Live. |
