Ingo Rademacher, the devilish, handsome and engaging fan favorite, Jasper "Jax" Jacks on General Hospital, is heading to the ballroom for the new season of ABC primetime's Dancing with the Stars.
All long time General Hospital fans know that Rademacher originated the role of “Jax,” having first aired on the soap opera in January of 1996. His other television credits include Hawaii Five-O, Titans, Veronica’s Closet, and According To Jim.
But acting is not the only endeavor Rachemacher enjoys. He's quite the athlete, as well.
In fact, he has amassed an extraordinary list of accomplishments. Per ABC, "as a youth, he was a ski champion and a competitive equestrian. As an adult, he has competed at a high level in beach volleyball and triathlons (winner of the Nautica Malibu Triathlon, celebrity division for three consecutive years). He took the pole position in the 2005 Long Beach Grand Prix (Soapdom was there!) and he recently completed the grueling 32-mile Molokai to Oahu "Channel of Bones" stand-up paddle board race - all this when he wasn't on the track racing dirt bikes or street bikes."
Rademacher is not the first General Hospital star to tackle the ballroom on Dancing with the Stars. Cast mate, Kelly Monaco (Sam McCall on General Hospital) won the mirror ball trophy the first season, and returned last season for the celebrity all-stars version of DWTS.
In mid 2012, Rademacher saddened General Hospital fans when he relocated to Hawaii "to pursue his passion for the sport of stand-up paddle board racing," and raise his family at the beach. He has since returned on an on-and-off recurring basis to GH. He and his wife, Ehiku have two sons, Peanut and Pohaku.
Rademacher's professional partner for the new season is Kym Johnson.
