Good call. Tom Selleck starred on The Young and the Restless very early on in the show's history. The soap debuted in 1973. Selleck was on for about a year, 1974 to 1975, and then reprised the role again in 2005 for a short time.
The character he played was Jed Andrews.
Beginning this fall season, Selleck stars as A.J. Cooper, the new owner of the Montecito Resort & Casino on NBC's Las Vegas (Fridays, 9 PM ET/PT) joining other soap opera vets, Daytime Emmy Winner's Josh Duhamel (ex Leo, All My Children) and Vanessa Marcil (ex Brenda, General Hospital).
