This is not the kind of news an actor wants to face first thing in the morning, not to mention the fact that it's holiday time.
"Well, it's just a two weeks before Xmas and the PTB (powers that be) have just let me know that I will be gone from GC (Genoa City) in five more shows. Merry Xmas." Sean Kanan (Deacon, The Young and the Restless) tweeted this morning.
Probably not exactly the kind of Christmas gift he was hoping for from his producers of the past few years.
However, some fans are happy about the turn of events, hoping that this is just the impetus Brad Bell, executive producer of The Bold and the Beautiful needs to bring the character of Deacon back to the fashion world.
"SkyLizzels tweeted, "just read the news on Deacon, i love Sean Kanan but honestly i've wanted him gone from GC for a while, i want him back at BnB."
L_Rulz tweeted, "Hopefully, Sean will turn up on B&B! Deacon is needed in LA!"
scooterbeanbag tweeted, "This is when Brad Bell should be calling Sean up."
But blogger, Source Ryan, is wistful in regard to Kanan's leaving Young and the Restless, feeling the missed potential of his character.
Source Ryan tweeted, "I do not understand Maria Arena Bell (headwriter, Y&R). You keep someone like Diana Degarmo but fire Sean Kanan" and later, "Sean Kanan has chemistry with multiple women on Y&R. If they actually invest in Deacon he could be a worthwhile character."
Soapdom knows that Kanan will land on his feet in whatever he attempts next, and wishes him well in future endeavors. Everyone, don't forget to check out his cool book, "The Modern Gentleman: Cooking and Entertaining with Sean Kanan." It's a great gift for the special guy in your life.
