Now that ABC has announced the departure of Brian Frons in January 2012 when his contract expires, fans and journalists alike are speaking out about the news.  We've gathered some representative comments from the twitterverse, Facebook and from www.Soapdom.com.  

From what we can tell, there is no love lost as a result of this news.  In fact, one of our twitterers tweeted yesterday, even before the announcement was made...

Funneebonz:  I don't like to bad mouth another TV exec…but this guy had to go. Not only was he reviled by fans, actors didn't think too highly of him either, and from what I am reading today, neither did producers and writers.   I am with Linda. Think twice before hiring Frons, all you prospective employers out there. He's probably leaving a very rich man. Time for him to fade into the distance, the far, far, far distance.
