Episode # 15,762----The last televised episode of Guiding Light, ending its 72-year run as the Guinness Book of World's Records longest running broadcast program ever.

As the day begins, Daisy announces she's going to Berkeley. Doris tells Ashlee she got her into a writing program at a school next door to Daisy. Ashlee shares the news that she's going to California with Daisy. Frank thinks Daisy is crazy to go to college. James tells Daisy he'll miss her, and can't go with her because his family needs him. The group rushes in to say goodbye to Daisy and Ashlee as they drive off. Frank tells the group he has a date in the park. Frank and Blake are surprised and pleased to discover that they have been talking to each other through the

dating website. The group is surprised to see Frank and Blake together on their date.

Lizzie thinks it's a bad idea for Alex to leave the country with Fletcher, but Alex is excited about the adventure. Beth assures Lizzie that she and Phillip aren't going anywhere. The family says their goodbyes to Alex just before she leaves with Fletcher. Beth gives Phillip a new journal for him to write about everything that has happened and how he's feeling. Phillip gets a call from Rick. Rick tells Phillip to come meet him and the group. Lizzie watches Jonathan and Sarah run off, and tells Bill she wants to have babies with him. Billy gives Jonathan a job at the company. James tells Phillip he's where he wants to be.

Josh tells Billy that Reva will be able to take care of herself while he's gone. Reva tells Jonathan she loves being surrounded by her kids and grandkids. Reva gets a call from Josh. Josh tells Reva he needs to talk to her and asks her to meet him. Josh tells Reva he changed his plans and will be moving to Oklahoma. Reva is surprised when Josh admits he was going to kidnap her and marry her. Josh tells her he will always love her. Reva tells Josh she loves him, but she isn't ready yet. Josh tells her to meet him at the lighthouse at noon in one year if she is ready to be with him. Reva tells Billy she's doesn't know what she's going to do in a year.

Maureen tells Matt he needs to go on a date. Maureen sets Matt up with her teacher and is happy when they get along.

Remy assures Christina that Mel will help them with the legality of their marriage. Mel and Cyrus lie in bed together, and Mel says it's the best birthday she's ever had. Remy and Christina catch Mel and Cyrus off guard when they stop by unannounced. Buzz gets a package from Germany addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Buzz Cooper. Marina calls Mallet and thanks him for sending Buzz and Lillian the wedding present. Mallet asks Marina how Henry is doing and tells her he loves her family. Buzz announces that they all need to meet Remy at the municipal building immediately. Remy and Christina tell the group that they want to get married with all of them there. Doris quickly marries them, and the group congratulates them. Marina tells Shayne she got him a job as an assistant coach at the high school. Remy and Christina announce that they are having a baby.

Frank, Olivia, and Natalia meet with the nursery designer. Olivia tells Natalia she can't believe they're finally together. Olivia tells Natalia that they need to let Frank know that he's an important part of the baby's life. Olivia and Natalia tell Frank they have decided to name the baby Francesca after him.

Mindy tells Billy she's moving back home to Springfield. Rick wants everyone to know that the Bauers are back where they belong. Mindy tells Rick she has decided to move back to Springfield. Beth and Phillip are excited that Michelle, Danny, and Mindy are all moving back to Springfield.

"One Year Later..."

The town has gathered to cheer on Shayne's baseball team. Billy wants Jonathan to be foreman for the new elementary school project. Pregnant Lizzie joins the group. Christina arrives with baby Clayton. Frank tells Remy and Cyrus that they have another assignment for them.

Rafe returns home to his excited family.

The group toasts to Rick and Mindy on their wedding the next day.

Daisy and Ashlee are excited when James comes to visit. James, Ashlee, and Daisy get in the car and drive off.

Mallet and Dinah have stopped at another church in Europe, and Dinah peaks inside at a wedding. Mallet picks Dinah up, throws her over his shoulder, and carries her off.

Natalia introduces baby Francesca to her brother Rafe. Billy and Jonathan wonder if Reva will show up at the lighthouse to meet Josh.

Reva meets Josh at the lighthouse and tells him he was right-she needed to find herself. Reva admits she loves him and wants to be with him. Josh announces that the three of them are going off on an adventure. Josh asks Reva if she is ready, and she replies, "Always." They drive away with the lighthouse in the background... Goodbye, Springfield.
