Michael confronts Sonny
Michael finally learned the truth – as we all knew he would. But what a way to learn it. Michael finally saw Sonny for who and what he really is – a ruthless hypocrite and a killer. A man who will do whatever he wants to have his way.
The whole confrontation was sad but also dramatic and exceptional. Michael's anger finally surfaced. Michael's emotions got the best of him. Remember the Michael that killed Claudia? The Michael who used to fly off the handle? That's the Michael we saw confront Sonny.
And Sonny was finally honest. We rarely see the honest side of Sonny. Not that it makes a difference. The end result is the same. AJ is dead and Michael is crushed. It's a very sad situation for Michael.
The question is – will Michael kill Sonny? I think Michael should spare Sonny's life. The best punishment would be to let the claustrophobic Sonny rot in prison. Sonny should pay for his crime but in a way that really punishes him.
As for Carly, part of me believes she deserved what she got at the wedding. The truth is that Carly was cheating on Franco. Nobody deserves to be treated like that. So Carly brought the whole thing on herself. The thing is – Michael didn't need to hear the truth from Franco. Carly and Sonny should have told Michael the truth from the beginning. It still would have been difficult, but there's something to be said about total disclosure and honesty.
I've always been impressed by Chad Duell (Michael). He's truly become one of the best young actors on daytime television. When Duell first came to the show, fans weren't exactly supportive. But the joke is on them. Those who didn't believe in Duell are eating crow on this one, hopefully.
I almost feel bad for Nina. She's really gone off the deep end. Nina has lost complete touch with reality. I still believe Nina belongs with Franco. The two of them understand each other. They certainly both understand betrayal.
In actor news, Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) and his wife are looking forward to their third child – a girl. Tony Geary (Luke) is finally back on the GH set after a six month absence.
