Who will Elizabeth choose?

With Ric Lansing back from the dead, things are certainly changing for Elizabeth. Moments before Ric returned, Elizabeth and Jake had quite a moment. The two almost kissed and Jake admitted he cared for Elizabeth. Enter Ric – Elizabeth was so happy to see her former husband. She clearly still has feelings for Ric. But if and when Jake is revealed as Jason, who will Elizabeth choose?

The bigger question is – who should Elizabeth choose? Should she choose former husband Ric? The man who once locked Carly in a 'panic room' and planned to steal her unborn child? The man who was in very deep with the mob? The man who was pretty much absent during daughter Molly's entire childhood?

Or should Elizabeth choose Jason? The man she shared a child with? The man who was always honest with her? The man she loved like no other man?

Ric and Jason both have some obvious flaws in their past. And what do we even know about Ric in the present? Before he went into protective custody, where was Ric? He was never mentioned, so he more than likely didn't keep in touch with Elizabeth. Then all of a sudden Ric came back to town and wanted to be back with Liz.  There are lots of unanswered questions, if you ask me.

Any guesses as to the outcome of Olivia and Julian's New Year's Eve? Here's a thought – given that Lisa LoCicero (Olivia) is pregnant, maybe Olivia will bring a Jerome baby into the mix. I kind of like Olivia with Julian. For one thing, it will bug Sonny to no end. And he deserves it after he cheated on Olivia. Imagine Sonny's reaction if Olivia gets pregnant with Julian's baby!

I'm not as keen on the Patrick and Sam pairing. I really prefer Sam with Silas. And why isn't Patrick back with Sabrina? The two almost got married. Now that Robin is out of the picture, it would make more sense to see Patrick turn to Sabrina.

In actor news, Maurice Benard (Sonny) is sticking around – at least for now. According to Soaps in Depth, the actor recently signed another contract. And as mentioned above, Lisa LoCicero (Olivia) recently confirmed that her second child is on the way.
