Venezuelan born Yeniffer Behrens (ex Marianna, GH) guest stars on the June 9th episode of USA's In Plain Sight titled "Her Days Are Numbered." The ever-smiling former General Hospital star turns in an exhilarating performance as Reina Alfaro, a nurse from El Salvador who will be deported unless she is given the green card she was promised in exchange for testifying.
"Working on In Plain Sight has a been an amazing experience; the energy was fun, exciting and harmonious!" Behrens continues "What a delight it was to work with Mr. Dan Lerner; definitely an actor's director." She likewise enjoyed working with scene partners, Paul Ben-Victor and Frederick Weller. "(They) were both very welcoming and generous actors!"
Produced by Universal Media Services for USA Network, the one-hour drama follows the story of a Federal Marshal with the Witness Protection program who must hide her high-risk, high-impact job from her family. To those that know her, Mary Shannon is a glorified meter maid, but her real job is much more dangerous. She must oversee federal witnesses who have been relocated through the Witness Protection program and make sure that they stay safe, while attempting to keep sanity in her own highly dysfunctional family.
Shot entirely on location in and around Albuquerque, NM. In Plain Sight has been a ratings booster for the cable network since it's debut nearly two years ago. In 2008, the pilot episode of In Plain Sight attracted 5.3 million viewers, making it USA Network's highest rated
series premiere since Psych in 2006.
Currently in it's third season and recently renewed for a fourth, In Plain Sight continues to be popular garnering more viewers last week than any other original cable drama.
But a guest starring role on a cable network is not Behren's only recent endeavor. She also starred alongside Corey Haim in his last film, the soon to be released indie crime drama, "Decisions." In addition, the busy entrepreneur is the president of her own production company, True Form Films. with the working-titled documentary "Growing up Bilingual and in a Multicultural Society" in post production.
