Fans of Cole (Brandon Buddy) and Starr (Kristen Alderson) were jumping up and down at the news that Brandon Buddy was returning to the role he originated on One Life to Live before the show leaves the broadcast airwaves in January 2012.
As promised, Buddy returned to the set and taped for one day. But now, word is, he is being replaced, and they will have to probably re-tape the scenes he shot.
So, when Cole returns, you can expect to see a new face in the role. That new face reportedly belongs to Broadway stage actor/singer Van Hughes.
Interestingly, this is not Hughes first appearance on One Life to Live. He starred for one episode in 2010 in the role of Ulrich Simon. Do you remember that character? We don't. We hope that if this tale is indeed true, he makes a stronger impression this time.
As for why Buddy is being replaced, mum's the word from our sources at the show. They are not commenting on the why or the wherefore, nor are they confirming that Van Hughes has assumed the role.
